@WillaKissing My deployments to the Middle East and to Southwest Asia were much less enjoyable than Kunsan, although Kunsan was considered a remote deployment and an austere setting. Osan, the other USAF airbase in Korea was much more Americanized.

@rinkydinkydoink We had the propeller from Robin Olds plane in the conjoint club at Kunsan—signed by him, of course. The cockpit bubble was in the Medical Group’s hooch.
Olds was a “triple ace”, officially credited with shooting down 17 enemy planes in three different conflicts. He likely had several more but gave them to his squadron members.

@AthrillatheHunt While I appreciate the empathy, Jacko just enjoys the sport of insulting me personally, since he cant address actual issues. If I cared about the opinions of people like that I wouldnt be here at all. In fact I think commentary like his only dimishes him by showing him up in front of the intelligent Americas who do come here. I leave that to others to judge..😷
