Barron Trump citizenship

considering Barron was born before Melania was a US citizen - would he be a non-citizen per Trump’s EO?

I believe if a person is born in the United States whether their parents were citizens or not they are considered US citizens at birth.
@WillaKissing Until recently, that was the law…
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@KunsanVeteran I have not heard that legislated to be changed.

Thank you for your Vietnam service @KunsanVeteran I am guessing that from your Kunsan Veteran name.
@WillaKissing I did not serve in Vietnam. The Vietnam war ended when I was a junior in high school.

Kunsan is a joint USAF/ROKAF base on the west coast of South Korea adjacent to the City of Gunsan.

I served there for two of the years I was active duty.

We are technically still at war with North Korea as there is an Armistice.

@KunsanVeteran Thank you, I was in Tong Duchon in 1987 to 1988. Sorry not making it south of Soul and that was on a pass, I associated the Kunsan with Vietnam. Sorry my bad.

Yeah, our longest running war and ceasefire.

@WillaKissing My favorite assignment, by far
@KunsanVeteran

Fun fact - "Germany made its final payment for World War I reparations on October 3, 2010. This payment finalized the debt stemming from the Treaty of Versailles, which was signed in 1919.
This final payment on October 3, 2010, occurred on the 20th anniversary of German reunification, symbolizing a closure to the financial obligations of the First World War."

EDIT - I was responding to your statement about the Korean War not being over - officially. It's still in an armistice situation. The same thing was true about the 1st World War seemingly forever being in an armistice until very recently... technically/symbolically, that is, with the final reparations payment this century.

@KunsanVeteran It was my first overseas tour and being peace time, it was a pleasure and favorite too. The middle east was different story. Providing dignitary and diplomat security did get us take to Egypt and a tour of Kyro, stood at the base of the Pinx, stood at the Nile River, road a camel around the largest pyramid and went into the tomb of the largest pyramid on a tour.

Task force work had its gifts.
@WillaKissing My deployments to the Middle East and to Southwest Asia were much less enjoyable than Kunsan, although Kunsan was considered a remote deployment and an austere setting. Osan, the other USAF airbase in Korea was much more Americanized.
@rinkydinkydoink We had the propeller from Robin Olds plane in the conjoint club at Kunsan—signed by him, of course. The cockpit bubble was in the Medical Group’s hooch.

Olds was a “triple ace”, officially credited with shooting down 17 enemy planes in three different conflicts. He likely had several more but gave them to his squadron members.

@KunsanVeteran Awesome. I have presidential details, drug task force work, South America and middle east.

My only cool story about Korea is when Tom Petty came over for his USO tour 1987 and I was assigned to provide personal security for him and his band. Oh, the Dallas cowboy cheer leaders too!
