That may be so but the doctrine of US power over the world has been established after we took over from the Brits at the end of WW2. We couldn't even stop the rice farmers of Vietnam nor could we deal with the goat herders of Afghanistan. Without fancy weaponry, our tough guys would have had their butts kicked every time Uncle Sam sent them abroad to fight.

The Madleen is a UK flagged vessel, and Greta is a Swedish citizen, but I don't see the UK or Sweden treating this as an act of war. It was basically a bunch of spoiled rich kids LARPing. I am not denying that the Jews were victims of war and much hated. Many other people suffered this also. Humans hate one another for one reason or another. Just because you got punch in the face that doesn't make you special.

We could always discount someone's work by saying they're just self-promoting and often there's no way to tell what someone truly believes. People have discounted Bernie Sanders by saying he just likes the spotlight. I don't believe that, but even if that is the case, at least the change he's fighting for is positive. I'm sure you were hoping the IDF would kill everyone on board so you could complain about how mean there are. If it had been up to me, I would have let them land and Hamas could have dealt with them.
