@laotzu92 You analysis is strong,but it leaves out one important point:the states insistence on destroying its own logging industry.Allowing companies to take much needed lumber from the forests clears out the brush areas and does much to keep such wildfires from starting-just ask any REPUTABLE fire marshal (not none practicing "woke"forestry)Moreover,it provides to huge boon to the state economy and helps the states middle class;alas ,the idiots in charge of the state insist on importing lumber from other areas,despite the higher costs,in order to satisfy their ideologies and , particularly,to punish the middle class of their own state ,many of whom have express open hatred for as well as a disire to drive them out of the state.After this fiasco,I suspect they may get their wish.
