Trump cannot expand the USA, even if he wanted to. Canada is a sovereign Nation and so is Greenland a sovereign Nation. Canada is a member of NATO and so is Greenland a member of NATO.
For the USA to suddenly decided to annex either of those two countries is paramount to a NATO country invading another NATO country for the purpose of expanding their own territory.
For the USA to invade another NATO country, NATO as a collective 'whole' would be all over the USA like a pail of cold water at a wet T-shirt contest. The US military would quickly become overwhelmed and Trump would likely suffer the same fate as the US imposed onto Osama bin Ladin when Osama tried to push his agenda onto the USA. Same story, different playbook.

Neither Trump nor the USA could end or destroy NATO because NATO is not an American entity which the USA has any direct control over. The USA as a Nation is merely an equal member-Nation of NATO with no more rights or privileges than are afforded any other NATO member-Nation.
The only thing that Trump can do is end the USA's relationship with NATO which Trump did the last time he was POTUS, but which Biden very quickly rekindled upon Biden taking Office in 2020 and re-entered the USA back into NATO without really missing a beat.
