Putin does not want to start nuclear war. He warned NATO that if they allowed the use of western missiles in Russian territory, it would be an act of war. It was a fair and clear warning. Ukraine's military is receiving assistance from the West in operating these missiles.
The US government, and the nefarious warmongers pulling the strings, have made the decision to risk nuclear war. It is an escalation, an escalation they chose. Does anyone else question the timing? They want to sabotage Trump’s presidency and are wasting no time doing it.

The US started this war in hopes of gaining all kinds of wealth. Blackrock, Exxon, Chevron, Shell, Monsanto etc etc etc and please never forget the rapacious appetite of the Military Industrial Complex and its unfettered grasp on tax payers money. Biden is just a puppet and likely completely unaware that he even authorised the use of the missiles which in reality are a complete waste. They are not long range. They only go about 100 miles while any major centre in Russia is at least 4 times farther away than the missiles can reach. Such stupidity on the part of the US and Western Europe.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@zonavar68 Yes Blackrock is a very very large chunk of money. Their greed has led to wars all over the world. If they can't simply buy it then take it by force seems to be their modus operandi .
justanothername · 51-55, M
@hippyjoe1955 Ever hear of Vlad Putin?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@justanothername Yes I have. I have been watching him for years. Sadly you are woefully ill informed about him. Well that and you are unaware that the US is no longer a force for good but has been for the better part of a century a force for evil. Don't forget the US is the only nation that used nuclear weapons in anger. It wasn't to defeat Japan it was to scare off the Soviet Union. In the mean time Russia under Putin has become the most educated nation in the world. It is also the most Christian nation in the world. So what business do you imagine the US has in Ukraine. Ukraine is a very ugly Nazi country and has been killing thousands of Ukrainians before Putin put a stop to the murder. The people in the Dombass were not angry when Russia moved in. They were asking of Putin "What took you so long".
AmericanAvenger · 56-60, M
They will blame Trump for it because they know that Trump is the only recent president without a war on his watch.
Ducky · 31-35, F
Meh, I don't take that seriously. But it's no coincidence this is being done right before Trump takes office. I don't care for Trump either, but come on, stacking the cards against him this much is just mean. 😂
MrSmooTh · 31-35, M
Putin is all bark and no bite. He is losing the war with Ukraine and I doubt he has any nukes that actually work.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@MrSmooTh So you haven't been following the war and how Russia is not in control of most of Eastern Ukraine. Kiev is rationing electricity and most people spend hours with out it.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
If Putin is genuinely threatening the US, his doppelgangers should be getting very nervous.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
@hippyjoe1955 @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Either of you guys got a link to a site which supports the pro Russian claim.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@GeniUs Why do you think my information comes from the web? As I stated earlier the evidence I have came from eyewitnesses who didn't have an axe to grind. They were simply telling what happened. As for web information you can do some research. I have heard similar accounts from knowledgeable people on pod casts like Judging Freedom.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@GeniUs It is not a claim. It is fact. It was the Istanbul memo which would have been the Istanbul peace agreement. This has all been confirmed by the Ukrainian diplomats who were in the room 2 years ago now.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
Putin is goading Trump as future Megalomaniac Mk 2.
Remember these wars are about two things (in the modern era) - religion and oil. For the USA, basically just oil. As without that, the US 'industrial machine' basically stops. Yep, even the Net Zero cult will stop without the very thing it thinks is 'evil'. Ironic. Just Stop Oil can't stop oil (as everything they do involves something derived from oil).

@zonavar68 Who, exactly, is saying "zero oil"??
My understanding is that we achieve long term climate sustainability if every person on earth limits their carbon footprint to 2 tonnes per year. That's hardly "zero oil."

Pootin has been threatening the use of Nukes since he first invaded Ukraine 3 years ago.
he is all threats, no actual delivery. Mean while the war drags on…..,
He’s like the abusive controlling partner who keeps threatening to beat up on his girlfriend if she leaves him.
She’s to scared to leave so she stays.
Trump keeps jangling the possibility that he “could” negotiate a peace deal with a stubborn Russian dictator. Yet Trump couldn’t negotiate a deal with a hooker and come out in front.

DunningKruger · 61-69, M
He probably wants the US and NATO to back away from Ukraine because of the threat of a nuclear war. I think Putin is too canny to actually use them, but he could use them, where the threat comes from.
JSul3 · 70-79
Putin is sabre rattling.
He knows a nuclear war would not bode well for him or Russia.

@Elessar But since you want to make a false comparison to Afghanistan.
Ukraine was basically threatened with what was done to Afghanistan.
If the pro US government goes, you get sanctioned into oblivion.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Ukrainian ambassadors(?) stated that the only reason why Ukraine is fighting is pressure from the US/UK? Citation needed.
Afghanistan is the prime example of what happens when there's external pressure but no internal will. Again, if Ukraine didn't want to fight back in the first place, absolutely no one would've been able to prevent a Russian landgrab.

@Elessar What do you want? A private interview with the diplomats in the room? The Istanbul memo is not exactly obscure if you look into anything outside straight up American war propaganda.
Again you are deliberately misrepresenting this.
Sure. One of the poorest countries in Europe after the 2014 coup is definitely not going to be impacted at all by the largest economy in the world and most of Europe threatening economic ruin.
No pressure at all there.
But you are determined to pretend this is about a land grab.
Russian troops were already withdrawing as a show of good faith before the negotiations were completed. But who needs details or facts when we have a cold war movie script to work from.

In times of economic crisis the threat of potential war strengthens the positions of 'lame duck' leaders who have no clue what to do to improve their lot.
Nah, he's just talking the big talk - people are less likely to hit a bully back if they're scared of him/her in the first place.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
I'd say wrong. Putin is sabre-rattling, but not insane -- at least I don't think he's insane.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
Wrong. Biden keeps playing chicken with nuclear war.
Russia is just reminding Biden what Russian doctrine has been since 1991.
And strategic retaliation doesn't necessarily mean nukes.
Alot of American troops are in easy range of Russian weapons.
Or for example it would suck for the USN if the Houthis suddenly came into possession of hypersonic missiles.
The US is far too used to getting away with anything.
