Democrats Warn That If Trump Is Elected It Will Be The End Of Bureaucracy As We Know It

On the eve of a hotly contested presidential election, top Democrats warned the American people that if Trump is elected, it would likely be the end of bureaucracy as we know it.

The sobering news came as voters prepared to head to the polls tomorrow, with many prominent members of the Democratic Party issuing public pleas for people to turn out and defend the federal government's bureaucratic establishment from certain death.

"This is a truly dire situation," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. "If Donald Trump gets back in office, there is a high risk that he will completely overhaul our failed, inefficient mess of a government — an outcome we can't afford to see become a reality. We need your help to keep this bloated, rotting carcass of the federal bureaucracy in power at all costs."

Other Democrats agreed that another Trump presidency would likely spell doom for lucrative but wasteful government programs, with increased efficiency and reduced tax revenue taken in by the government would have a devastating effect on their ability to become wealthy. "Our system of government has never faced a more imminent threat," said Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. "The days of elected officials getting rich from kickbacks, secret bribes, and insider trading may be over. Serving the public should never be the motivating factor for entering public service. I fear for our nation… and my life."

At publishing time, Democrats also warned that electing Trump may result in the terrifying prospect of the federal government operating more efficiently while spending far less money.

@sunsporter1649 Actually , you got me there. Hitlers real name was Schicklgruber. But my German isnt good enough to know if either name translates as a rude nickname...😷

Every now and them we agree.. If Trump wins, all this BS with investigations and reports and things involving due process will just stop. A few thousand "inconvenient" people will just disappear and things will run much more smoothly after that, with the Project 2025 people running it all their way..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman You prefer the 1619 folks running things?

@sunsporter1649 I want to return the U.S. tax structure to what it was in 1960. The country was prosperous then. The wealthy paid their fair share of taxes, unlike today.

I strongly believe congress should outlaw off-shore tax havens for the wealthy and corporations. They should be forced to do their patriotic duty and pay their taxes.

Also, I favor a small tax on transactions in securities and derivatives, say 1/4 of 1%. That would raise billions in revenue to pay down the national debt. It would also have the additional advantage of tamping down reckless speculation in the financial sector.

@badminton President Kennedy finally decided that only a bold domestic program, including tax cuts, would restore his political momentum. Declaring that the absence of recession is not tantamount to economic growth, the president proposed in 1963 to cut income taxes from a range of 20-91% to 14-65% He also proposed a cut in the corporate tax rate from 52% to 47%. Ironically, economic growth expanded in 1963, and Republicans and conservative Democrats in Congress insisted that reducing taxes without corresponding spending cuts was unacceptable. Kennedy disagreed, arguing that “a rising tide lifts all boats” and that strong economic growth would not continue without lower taxes.

Elon Musk blithely claimed that he could trim $2 trillion from the federal budget. In the spirit of government efficiency I think all funding should be withdrawn for roads, telecommunications, science, and space exploration, because nobody really needs these things and you'd hardly notice they were not there. I'm sure Musk, whose rocket business alone has hoovered up $15bn of taxpayer funded subsidy, would agree 🙂
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@sunsporter1649 Ah yes, arbitrarily expelling 12 million people . . good luck doing that without a "bureaucracy" 😅
Baremine · 70-79, C
@SunshineGirl not sure I agree with funding for roads
