I turned in my ballot this morning.
Trump.
At this point I see no one voting for Harris I only see people voting against Trump.
It's sad that people can't over look Trump's dorky demeanor and realize how much better an economy Trump made even if you only focus on gas prices.
Less war.
Less crazy government spending.
Don't those people remember that Obama's health care system came with a $2500 penalty for not participating? Trump did away with that and left the rest yet they still complain.
It's life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Life:
The property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism.
Liberty:
The condition of being free from confinement, servitude, or forced labor. The condition of being free from oppressive restriction or control by a government or other power. A right to engage in certain actions without control or interference by a government or other power.
Pursuit of happiness:
I think most people think "pursuit" in that phrase means "chasing happiness" — as in the phrase "in hot pursuit." This would mean that "the pursuit of happiness" has to do with "seeking it" or "going after it" somehow.

@Bhs123 That was right around the time he visited Moscow and became a Russian asset.

@Zonuss Thank you for Best Comment. :-)

I already voted for Harris. Not being a Republican, I can’t vote twice.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
LeopoldBloom · M
@Zonuss Both. She's a competent leader and will continue much of the Biden program. Plus, she will nominate liberal judges to the federal bench. Trump tanked the economy when he was in office, made the US a laughingstock abroad, and nominated a bunch of corrupt Federalist Society hacks. He will also enact as much of the horrible Project 2025 agenda as he can get away with. The other concern for him is his rapidly advancing dementia. He very likely won't make it four years, and a President Vance would be even worse as Vance is a puppet of anti-democracy sociopaths like Peter Thiel and Elon Musk.

I'm voting for Trump because supporting an authoritarian movement has never cartoonishly backfired.

@Bhs123 If Harris told seven lies during that debate, that's still about a thousand less lies than Trump told.

@BetweenKittensandRiots Of course I am voting for Donald Trump , he will help this country . I don't expect it to be easy for us but its worth all the drama .

@brian29715 and there are men competing against your daughter and that has something to do with the current administration?

Vote for the person NOT trying to remove women's rights... NOT trying set USA back 50 years...NOT wanting to deport immigrants ( btw a vast majority of people in USA are immigrants at some level besides native Americans...) and the one that does NOT support Hitler or dictatorship type of governing.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@black4white
American Indians did not become American citizens until 1924. Therefore they were not "native Americans." And most couldn't vote until the late 1950s.

I will be voting for Trump in one kind of booth, but not the "voting" booth. This one also has a handle and a kind of paper, but unlike a voting booth, it also has plumbing.

independentone · M
Nope, I will not vote for Trump, but I also didn't vote for Harris, I decided to toss my ballot in the trash and not vote any longer.
Turtlepower · 36-40, M
@independentone Sorry to be that guy, but the ballots contain a lot of other things to vote on that can immediately impact your local area. It's important to participate in voting for that reason more so than who becomes president (assuming choosing between two bad options for one option on the ballot is the reason you stopped voting). I'll see myself out now after explaining something you already probably know.
independentone · M
@Turtlepower Oh, I know, and I know I should have voted, but I'm just so sick of politics, I don't trust any of them and just can't bring myself to be a part of it.
Turtlepower · 36-40, M
@independentone Fair enough. That's your right :)
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
No. That Project 2025 is super unhinged.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@SatanBurger THAT ALONE is the main reason he doesn't need to be in.
The part of deregulating the EPA alone should scare EVERY person living in America.
I mean we already know companies would pollute to high heaven because regulations eat into their precious profits.
Won't take long before USA looks like a third world nation.
Men should be worried because part of 2025 talks about making their precious "erotic" material illegal. They would have to go back to using their imaginations when in private.
We could go on, but yeah most people ignore that whole mess.
Besides that, who wants a "leader" who just comes up with stuff on a whim? You don't put a senile person in charge knowing that they are no longer connected to reality.

I am, mostly because I believe he will be less effective than Harris. I am greatly in favor of a less effective federal government in general. Also, I don't really believe a word than comes out of Harris's mouth.
CestManan · 46-50, F
No I will not vote for Trump.
He is not even in office yet and already he has talked about wanting to be a dictator.
America, do you really want someone in office who wants to be an autocrat with unchecked power?
I have asked a few of his supporters this, hopefully someone will answer -
What do the republican voters hope to gain from Trump being president? Even if he stabilizes the economy somehow, what about other rights he wants to eliminate, outlined in "Project 2025"?
If any American wants to live under authoritarian government, if Trump loses, they might be able to move to North Korea.

But I wouldn't vote for him as not keen on his policy offering.

Everybody knows how i feel about the Donald😑I don't like him. But I also don't believe that the democratic party can handle what's about to happen in
the coming years, so imma spend the time that I would have wasted voting, and just sit at a coffee shop reading a book. Utah always votes Republican anyways.

School back and read what I’ve written for months. I won’t respond to anyone calling me and those like me Fascists and Nitlers. You’ve sunk to thr lowest of lows Carla. @Carla

@jackjjackson ahhh...excuses, excuses.
You seem so much a nitler, jack. I see you nittling around here often.
You can't justify your support without showing yourself to be the things you propose to hate.
You are them. The facsists and racists, the misogynists, the xenophobes, homophobes and transfobes.
If you don't oppose them, they are you.

I’ve consistently opposed the hate emanating from the dims beginning with Mrs Clinton in 2016 and continue to do so. Referring to any US citizen as “Hitler” is a crime in my opinion. Recently you’ve joined the dim hate show parade and I am very disappointed in you. We’ve always differed politically but did so civilly as friends. It seems you chose to end that a while ago. In RL I have every friend and relative I’ve ever had and more and never had heated political discussions. We all agree respectfully to disagree and believe everyone is entitled to her or his opinion. At least on this platform you do not share that view. As previously stated I’m disappointed in you because we had always been able to discuss things rationally. For your personal sake I hope you don’t carry that attitude into RL and continue to have whatever level of relationships you have with family and friends without divisive politics. If you do I’m sad for you because you will have lost something far more important than politics. I’ve chosen not to join you or anyone else in the hate game on SW. I would sincerely appreciate your ceasing to hector and troll me. I’m sad you chose to end our virtual friendship this way. @Carla

@justanothername Have you noticed that the vast majority of MAGAers are older people who grew up in the Jim Crow era? They are just racists and support the orange traitor because he is a Jim Crow KKK'er imperial wizard.
If you were to ask a MAGA about affirmative action, equal rights, integration, etc the person is sure to respond that he/she is against all of those things.
