Trump Supporters in Philadelphia Receive Threatening Letters in the Mail
Several pro-Trump voters in Pennsylvania have reported receiving threatening letters via the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). The letters, which feature a replica of Trump campaign letterhead, appear to target them because of their political affiliation.
The letters targeted Philadelphia voters, listing various reasons why they should not support former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.
To make things worse, the letter then gives full-on threats, stating the consequences of voting for the former president.
“We know where you live, you are in the data base,” the writer alleges. It also goes on to threaten the voter’s family, stating, “your cat might get shot.”
After stating that it was a letter thanking the voter, it pointed out the political violence occurring, along with the “threats to our democracy and freedoms,” requesting the reader to closely look at “the truth.”
The letter then goes on to attack Trump, calling him a “rapist” and a felon. It also touched on Jan. 6, stating that “He is a major reason violence [i]s up.”
It alleged that by supporting Trump, “you are declaring your public support for a disregard of the law, civil discourse and unity. You are indicating your hatred for minorities, immigrants, foreigners, women, education, the rights of your fellow citizens, the rights of women to make decisions over their own healthcare needs.”
If Trump wins in November, the letter claims that “the consequences will be staggering.” As a result, it says that the country will fall apart, with people being divided, the economy collapsing and that the government will be in everyone’s business.
“But more importantly, we know where you live, you are in the data base,” the letter continues. “In the dead of a cold winters night, this year, or next and beyond, there is no knowing what will happen. Your property, your family may be impacted, your cat may get shot. And more.”
The writer concluded by giving the reader a full on threat, stating, “Your vote for this guy is seen as treading on my rights. You tread on me at your peril, motherf*cker. We look forward to visiting in the future.”
Each person who received a copy of the letter has Trump signs displayed on their property, indicating that the writer was specifically targeting vocal Trump supporters. This is not the first time Trump voters have been targeted with threatening letters. In 2020, supporters in New Hampshire reported receiving similar letters
