I gave you every opportunity to agree that a physician is the appropriate one to make a decision about medical care without fear of prosecution. Truthfully, I have not read the novel in years, but seen the film, many times. Harper Lee said the film was an excellent adaption of her book. Censorship likely made the studio tone down or edit sone aspects. There is no doubt that the novel is more graphic than the film could ever be.
