Former President Donald Trump's "hot streak" continued in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the former president made a "big promise" during his rally Sunday. Just miles from the Las Vegas Strip, Trump pledged to eliminate taxes on tips for service workers if elected in November.
"This is the first time I've said this and for those hotel workers and people that get tips, you're going to be very happy, because when I get to office we are going to not charge taxes on tips, people making tips... It's been a point of contention for years and years and years, and you do a great job of service, you take care of people, and I think it's going to be something that really is deserved," Trump said.
Talking points
1. I'm not sure if this will buy Trump the election by itself. (It WILL flip Nevada to red because of all the tipped employees in the resort industry that pays that state's bills.) Thing is, are tipped employees a large enough demographic and can they be counted on to vote?
2. It won't flip Florida red because Florida is already red. It might make Trump's victory in Florida even larger since a lot of those tipped employees who are registered Democrats will vote for Trump just on that issue.
3. Trump can't do this without Congress, so it's VERY important to get as many Republicans elected as possible, since the DemoNazis are tax crazy and will screw the entire country just to keep taxes high. By the same token, DemoNazis voting AGAINST this will have given their Republican opponents a winning issue for the mid terms.
