How could the Republicans win the next election?

Go pro abortion. Do that and you’ve got the next election in the bag.

Of course they would never do it but that’s all it would take to get the necessary votes.

@LordShadowfire How does a conceived life become a zygote , to a blastocyst to an embryo to a fetus if it isn’t alive?. If something isn’t alive it can’t grow and develop. If you were conceived by human parents you are human, if you exist then you are “ a being “ human being

At conception our genetic blueprint is they. Everything we are today was there at conception. Stages of development and cognitive abilities doesn’t do anything to diminish our humanity

If someone has a horrible accident and is in a coma without brain activity. Is he still a human being ?

@missyann Sperm are unquestionably alive, according to all or most sensible definitions of life (They move around, they have goals, they eat things, they die). They are not, however, a human or animal life

To go pro-choice the republican party would have to betray their so-called core principles and integrity.

Fortunately for them, that doesn't seem to be a problem.

[c=BF0000]Biden’s Israel-Palestine Policy Could Cost Him the Election
The president’s blank-check support of Israel’s war on Gaza is alienating many of the Black and brown voters he needs to win reelection.[/c]
"When I read or listen to white people in the media talking about Biden’s approach to this crisis—I’ve heard pundits call Biden’s trip to Israel his “finest hour”—I’m left with the impression that they just don’t know or haven’t considered how electorally disastrous it could be for Biden to lose Muslim and Arab American support. There are over 200,000 Muslims living in Virginia; there are 150,000 Arab Americans; in 2020, Biden won that state by around only 500,000 votes. In Michigan, there are over 350,000 Muslims; 200,000 Arab Americans live in the state; Biden won that state by around only 150,000 votes. Any significant weakening of this support puts Virginia in play, and makes Michigan functionally unwinnable for Biden. And I shouldn’t have to tell you that there is simply no path to Biden’s Electoral College success without Virginia and Michigan.

If we broaden things out beyond the Muslim and Arab American populations, there are other dangers. If young, college-age people of color sour on Biden and stay home, Biden has problems across the upper Midwest. And anything less than overwhelming and enthusiastic support from African American voters costs Biden Georgia and Pennsylvania."

@LordShadowfire I am NOT devious. I am asking you why you don’t scream for the rapist being punished along with punishing the other innocent victim the baby instead of just saying, the baby deserves the death penalty.

I am not defending the rapist. Why doesn’t he deserve the ultimate punishment??

What have I said that is a fallacy. It seems equivalent to me that he receive the ultimate punishment.

Make sure Trump runs .... This time he may actually began his dictatorship by first doing away with all the laws governing democracy.

When he won the first time, on Twitter and Facebook I voiced my opinion on what he would do and he did it and how he was going to try to stay in office and he did.

He is a dictator at heart and he admires other dictators.

@missyann
The Bible doesn’t say it is better to have never been born than to suffer.
You really should read your favorite fairytale =

Matthew 26:24 (CEB) = "The Human One goes to his death just as it is written about him. But how terrible it is for that person who betrays the Human One! It would have been better for him if he had never been born.”

Mark 14:20-21 (MSG) =20-21 He said, “It’s one of the Twelve, one who eats with me out of the same bowl. In one sense, it turns out that the Son of Man is entering into a way of treachery well-marked by the Scriptures—no surprises here. In another sense, the man who turns him in, turns traitor to the Son of Man—better never to have been born than do this!”

Jeremiah 15:10 (CEB) = "I wish I had never been born! I have become a source of conflict and dissension in my own country. Even though I haven’t lent or borrowed, still everyone curses me."
missyann · 56-60
@Diotrephes I’m not sure where you got your Bible but no where does he promise a life without suffering. As a matter of fact we are doomed to suffer because Adam & Eve turned away from God.

Suffering is meant to increase our faith and trust in God in spite of suffering
https://www.Christianity.com>wiki>christianlife What does the Bible say about suffering.

All of the passengers you gave mean “ better to have never been born than to turn your back on God.

Interesting though, there are many passages that I’m sure you won’t like. “Genesis 9:6 “whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed for in his own image God has made mankind “. Exodus 23:7. “ keep far away from false charges and do not kill the innocent, for i will not aquit you “ Psalms 127:30 “ behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward “

No, it doesn’t specifically say the word abortion. This word was created by man as well as the evil it is.. I don’t think it says anywhere that we are justified killing innocent human lives for any reason
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@missyann
No, it doesn’t specifically say the word abortion. This word was created by man as well as the evil it is.. I don’t think it says anywhere that we are justified killing innocent human lives for any reason
There are countless biblical verses that require the murder of people for all kinds of silly things, such as doing work on the wrong day of the week. The Bible doesn't teach morality.
If the abortion issue is the sword of Damocles hanging over the Republican party’s head, then they might Re state their position by espousing a woman’s right to choose but if the states allow abortions then there will be NO Federal or state funding paid for by taxpayers. Give taxpayers the option in a vote by state for an additional tax paid by those who support abortion and no such additional tax for those in opposition. No doubt for the advances we’ve seen in voting giving an all in or opt out option can be figured out knowing who will pay extra and who won’t have to. I’m sure somewhere in that massive IRS budget too, tax on this issue can be addressed as well.
You are given a form when you get your tax paperwork and it says and you support by being taxed on abortion or you do not., and wherever you stand, you document the paperwork. Christ, I mean I see these “ do you want to donate” to whatever on my taxes. It can be done for this issue too.
As well the Republicans might give consideration to the lives of expectant mothers if the potential birth could result in their deaths, in the case of Rape ( that decision finally resting with the woman) and incest.
I think it’s time for the Republicans / conservatives to get their heads out of their asses, stop their soft tactics, give where it’s not expected and come back with devastating results on issues they have a foot in the door on.
Just my opinion and thoughts.
Puppycat23 · F
True. Now Republican politicians are trying to avoid putting abortion on the ballot because they know what the overall response will be.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Puppycat23 The best way to resolve the abortion issue is for 100,000 pregnant women to commit public suicide to show that they would rather die than to live in a tyrannical system.
running anyone except Trump guarantees a win for Republicans, and even Trump has a very good chance of winning over Biden.

JPWhoo · 36-40, MVIP
I doubt that’s all it would take, but don’t give them any ideas. That said, they actually have a pretty good shot at the presidency and, because this election’s Senate class has so many great pickup opportunities for them, it’s almost certain that they’ll win back the Senate. Sadly, Republicans even hold a slight lead in the polling averages of choices between generic candidates for the House. The political mood may somewhat favor Democrats in gubernatorial and other state government races.

But overall, in spite of recent Republican underperformances, Election Day 2024 could easily be a very good day for Republicans even if the general mood of the electorate favors Democrats.

@whowasthatmaskedman Biden will lose because of his support for the Zionist genocide of the Palestinians. Certain people in certain States simply will not vote for him and that will result in him losing those States and the election. That may also cost the Dems seats in Congress.

You are looking at it from the wrong perspective. The people who would normally vote for Biden simply won't vote. That means that he will get fewer votes than he normally would have gotten; not that those people would vote for the Repub.
