Wagner-operated air defenses brought down the four-engine turboprop on June 24 near the city of Voronezh in southwestern Russia as the paramilitary group’s forces made an advance toward Moscow in what President Vladimir Putin described as an “internal betrayal” of the Russian people. All 10 crew on the Il-22 were killed.
Wagner forces also bought down several Mil Mil-8/17 transport helicopters, including: a specialized electronic warfare version; a Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopter; and a Mil Mi-35 attack helicopter being used to to stave off Wagner’s advance. [sep][sep][sep]

Back in early May, people were calling out Prigozhin's psyop tactics. Do Biden voters enjoy seeing US tax dollars being laundered through Ukraine that don't actually go to the war effort? Do Biden voters think it's a good idea to push the envelope toward nuclear war with no strategic objective in Ukraine?
@Wiseacre I don't know. I take everything posted about the war with a grain of salt. However given their record of being quite accurate I put more weight in their publications than I do of say the BBC which is owned and operated by one of the governments involved.
Should’ve been done first month. And all experts agreed Ukraine wouldn’t have been invaded if Trump was still president. Didn’t happen on his watch because rest of world Was actually scared of America under his administration
@Rickinnc I'd say you're proof you can say anything you want on the internet. And what you're ignoring is that Putin was biding his time, while Trump cut defense funds to Ukraine. The invasion was always going to happen in 2022, because that was how long it was going to take for Ukraine's money to run out after Trump cut them off. It was a joint effort between two world leaders who were joined at the hip.

Trump's National Security advisor, John Bolton, says Putin was waiting for Trump to withdraw the US from NATO before invading. Since Trump had threatened such withdrawal multiple times, it was a reasonable expectation on Putin's part. However, after Trump lost both the election and the Jan 6 coup attempt, Putin had no more reason to delay.

Notice how many Russian tanks have their turrets blown off? It 's a design defect. A well targeted TOW round can detonate the tank's own munitions that are stored in the turret.
@Wiseacre Funny little story. I was in BC last week and met a woman who had an Eastern European accent. I asked if she was Ukrainian. She said that she was Russian but she had a Ukrainian who worked for her. Sadly the man moved to Alberta because he had a family to support and BC was too expensive to do that. Alberta gained another good guy and family.
