@Rickinnc I'd say you're proof you can say anything you want on the internet. And what you're ignoring is that Putin was biding his time, while Trump cut defense funds to Ukraine. The invasion was always going to happen in 2022, because that was how long it was going to take for Ukraine's money to run out after Trump cut them off. It was a joint effort between two world leaders who were joined at the hip.

Trump's National Security advisor, John Bolton, says Putin was waiting for Trump to withdraw the US from NATO before invading. Since Trump had threatened such withdrawal multiple times, it was a reasonable expectation on Putin's part. However, after Trump lost both the election and the Jan 6 coup attempt, Putin had no more reason to delay.

Actually, no. Actually, the experts say something very different.Trump's National Security advisor, John Bolton, says Putin was waiting for Trump to withdraw the US from NATO before invading. Since Trump had threatened such withdrawal multiple times, it was a reasonable expectation on Putin's part. However, after Trump lost both the election and the Jan 6 coup attempt, Putin had no more reason to delay.
"I thought he put his foot over it, but at least he didn't withdraw then," said Bolton, who wrote in his memoir about Trump's consideration of withdrawing from NATO in 2018. "In a second Trump term, I think he may well have withdrawn from NATO. And I think Putin was waiting for that."
