Remember when people used to pretend that Donald Trump wasn't a racist ?

Apparently some will continue to delude themselves if they still plan to vote for him. Otherwise, they’ll have to admit that they, too, support racism.

Another "secret" is out, btw, and it’s something I have always said: you don’t have to be white personally to be a white supremacist (someone who supports white supremacy). “Ye” is living, stupid proof. 🙄
@LordShadowfire The idea (in some circles) was to sound as "ethnically neutral" as possible in order to have more opportunities. It’s been mostly a black middle-class thing.
Is this an older fellow ? Lots of people in my generation grew up with that kind of bs, too.
@bijouxbroussard He's in his mid-20s. I'm not sure what the deal is with him. He's fully convinced of the right wing narrative that a lot of black people bring scrutiny on themselves while crying victim.
@LordShadowfire Wow…that’s kinda sad. What usually eventually happens to someone like that is, they’ve bought the game "right-wing rhetoric" and think, if they play by those rules, they won’t have any problems. Then a cop pulls them over, or something happens where they realize what’s what. Not everyone profiled, beaten up or killed by the authorities was doing something wrong.
No. But I do remember leftist clowns failing to convince anyone he's racist.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@BizSuitStacy 'Any racist, neo-nazi holocaust denier that you see fit, Trump must disavow, or else he's racist. ' - nah , just the ones he chooses to share intimate dinners with.

Bye bye Trumpturd.

Remember that time when Donald Trump said "Poor kids are just as smart as white kids"...... wait, nevermind, that was President Biden. LOL
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy No, it’s one of the many reasons even people like Michael Steele (black former head of the RNC) have conceded that Trump’s a racist. There’s dislike, and then there’s targeting someone based on ethnicity. You do know Trump tried to do the same thing to Kamala Harris ? That’s not a coincidence.
@bijouxbroussard that meme wasnt meant for you. it was directed at another user.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy So, just to be clear, you know what whataboutism is, but you're oblivious to the fact that you use it.

Also, that wasn't whataboutism. You said Trump wasn't being racist, so I found an example of his veiled racism.
helenS · 36-40, F
In mild defence or Mr. Trump, he
(a) did not start another war at the other end of the world, like, for example, G.W.Bush
(b) supported Israel any way he could
(c) put more sanctions on Russia than any other president
(d) did not compromise when it was about Iran.
Not Mr. Trump's biggest fan, but what's true is true.
@helenS
No peace with tyrannies!
So…why Saudi Arabia ? Why North Korea ? Why did he court them ? They’re not tyrannical ?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@helenS The stuff about Trump being tough on Russia with sanctions is an absolute myth. He was dragged kicking and screaming by Congress to eventually sanction Russia. And have you forgotten also that he was about to lift the existing sanctions on Russia , including the Magnitsky Act (the real quid pro quo for the election interference) , only because Mike Flynn's secret calls with the Russian ambassador were swept up by US intelligence , which then forced his resignation and the abandonment of the plan.
@helenS Trump scuttled a working agreement that limited Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons. Now those limits are gone. I don't see that as promoting "peace." Are you saying that because Iran is a "tyranny," we shouldn't enter into any agreement with them to limit their aggression? You said "no peace with tyrannies;" does that mean you think we should declare war on them?

The current Iranian government is very unpopular and may even be on the verge of collapse, but starting a war with them would be a great way to unite the Iranian people behind their government.
Trump must have made an F in Anti-Semite class by showing solidarity with Jewish leader/Head of Israel Ben Netanyahu.
helenS · 36-40, F
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Anti-semitism does certainly not belong to those things Mr Trump can be accused of. At least, not truthfully.
Not sure if he became a hater of all things Jewish if it would pay, politically.
@helenS it would be kind of crazy considering his daughter is married to a Jewish man and his grandchildren are part Jewish. Trump is alot of things...... loud mouthed, obnoxious, etc. but, not anti Semitic.
RedBaron · M
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Ivanka is also Jewish, having converted, and thus so are her children. No such thing as part Jewish, part Catholic, part pregnant, etc.

And before he outed himself as antisemitic.
His cult is still pretending.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Celebration And they pretend themselves. You'd think all these tough guys would have the courage of their convictions and actually own it.
If Trump is a racist, then he is doin it all wrong by hangin with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Did you see what Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are saying about Donald Trump now ?
That’s probably more relevant than a photo from the 1990s. Just saying.
@bijouxbroussard he’s gonna need to get some more advisers or someone to get in his ear and tell him when he is making a mistake. Like that trading card ordeal. That was head scratching.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy He’s had advisers from the beginning, who really wanted him to succeed. But he always thinks he knows better. So he keeps making missteps, and will probably continue to. Same reason he thinks these cards are a good idea—EGO. 🙁

{@rodionromanovitch]😯what that time actually existed then .😄 unless you are blind ignorant or kissing his big fast rump he always has and always will be tarred with the brush of an racist
@smiler2012 B...but he said he didn't have a racist bone in his body! Surely he wouldn't lie?
smiler2012 · 56-60
@LordShadowfire 😄what trump no of course he would never lie butter does not melt
Ducky · 31-35, F
I personally never believed Trump is a racist. I could see where things he said could be construed as such, but I don't feel he's ever done or said anything overtly racist. Unless I've missed something...
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
Remember when people who disagreed on politics called each other hitler? Now they call it racist lmao
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@DeluxedEdition Oddly enough , no.
graphite · 61-69, M
More breathtaking racism from lifelong racist Joe Biden:

"Not everybody in the community–in the Hispanic and the African American community, particularly in rural areas that are distant and/or inner-city districts–know how to use–know how to get online to determine how to get in line for that COVID vaccination at the Walgreens or at the particular store.”
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@graphite wow ....... breathtaking !
graphite · 61-69, M
@RodionRomanovitch "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man." Biden is blissfully clueless of his own racism.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@graphite wow yeah ...... he makes Trump look like an angel !
I'm still not sure Trump's "racism" is as big of an issue as his general attitude towards all other human beings and ideas like honesty and morality.

On the other hand, I don't think Trump has a whole lot of respect for the "human race," but I don't think it's as much a matter of skin color as much as Trump vs everyone else.
Tres13 · 51-55, M
“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
@Tres13 That's all you got?
Tres13 · 51-55, M
Enough for you@BohemianBoo
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@BohemianBoo That was relatively expansive for this numbskull. More usually his replies consist of single words or acronyms. (You can guess which one.)
Lostpoet · M
Most people that lived in the world he lives in (the rich people world) are Racist to a certain degree.

i like your name btw. Is it from Crime and Punishment?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Lostpoet Sure is ..... well spotted.
Ontheroad · M
Worse, some actually convinced themselves he wasn't. For them it wasn't and isn't today a pretense.
Good times.
Though I still don't think he is, I think he just pretends to be, because most of his supporters are.
@RodionRomanovitch Like I said, I think he says racist things because he knows most of his base is racist. He knows that he can devalue someone in the eyes of his supporters if he plays the race card. He hired Elaine Chao for a position in his cabinet. But then, when he wanted to turn people against her, he called her "China-loving" and "Coco Chow." Trump isn't actually racist against the Chinese, but he'll use racism against Chinese people if it benefits him.
The reason he didn't admit he was wrong about the Central Park case is because he's a man-child who can't ever admit when he's wrong.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@BohemianBoo I get what you're saying , and might have agreed with all that at one time.

He no longer gets the benefit of the doubt with me however. His racism is innate.
@RodionRomanovitch Maybe, but it seems like he only expresses racism for personal gain.
Another example I remember is when he was doing a speech to an evangelical audience and he was running down Ted Cruz. He said something like "You know he's Cuban. Not a lot of Evangelicals in Cuba." Trump isn't religious at all. I'm sure he doesn't care that Cubans aren't Evangelicals. But he knew that specific audience would, so he brought it up. He's also not transphobic, so he never talked about trans people. But in the last two years, the Right became obsessed with transphobia, so now all of a sudden, Trump is saying anti-trans things. It's all an act.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@BohemianBoo that is what makes you so sick about west and his bigoted anti semetic comments straight from the mouth of a bigot

Meanwhile... https://www.heritage.org/progressivism/commentary/bidens-history-getting-away-racist-remarks
I called it, just a couple weeks ago. I said there was going to be a time when he gave up the pretense of not being a racist, and his followers wouldn't give a fuck. We have reached that time.
@bijouxbroussard At the very least, at the bare minimum, they have all proven themselves to be enemies of the constitution. They do not trust in the American electoral process, and support those who are willing to overthrow that process through violence. End of story.

Being a racist in this day and age is vile enough, but being an enemy of the country you intend to continue living in? And then denying it and saying I'm the one who hates America? Bro, you literally cheered as people were breaking down the door to the Capitol building.
@LordShadowfire Incredibly ironic, "Patriotism" having been their entire stated raison d’être for so long.

There were a lot of people who never pretended to begin with ... and they didn't care about this or that, they still wanted him, if nothing else just to give a big middle finger to everyone else or because they bought into other parts of the Kool-Aid, like somehow cutting taxes for the wealthy was helping out blue collar Trumpsters, so they wouldn't "care if he fvcked a duck, so long as he cut taxes!"
