I can barely imagine the size of the battery. Since FIFTY tons of lithium bearing ore must be mined and processed to create ONE small car battery, I can't imagine the damage the fools are doing to the planet.

I'm amused at your logic and it is great. But remember after 4 pm, no a/c, no tv, and limited and long lines at charging stations. Even the 11 stops could easily result in a 7 day trip for Joey to visit Nancy. Also the motorcade cars all need to be electric too. But wait, 40% of the electricity is generated by coal fired generators, 40% by petroleum, 10% hydro (which Lake Mead is drying up) and only 10% by renewables.

You do understand that Air Force One is a command post and may need stay aloft for an indefinite time? It’s equipped with defensive countermeasures and airborne refueling. So why would a short range shoebox be smart.
