Destroying America One Day at a Time: Strategic Oil Reserve at Lowest Level in 40 Years #BidenEffect

Joe Biden and Democrats are destroying America one day at a time. Ad it’s all on purpose.

Gas prices have spiked since Joe Biden took the White House in 2021.

On his first day in office, Joe Biden killed off 42,100 jobs by ending construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline and the end of construction of the Trump border wall.

The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.841 – nearly $2 a gallon increase since he took over. The price of gas has never been higher since Joe took office.

The Biden regime also shut down more pipelines last winter as gas prices were surging.

Earlier this year Joe BIden announced he would release emergency oil reserves to combat high energy prices.

Now today the US Strategic Oil Reserve is at its lowest level in 40 years.

Trump built up the reserves by purchasing gas when the price was low.

Only to see Joe Biden deplete the reserves as part of his failed energy policies.

I hope they get those solar powered fighter jets online soon!

Not to worry.

Each of Biden's new fighter jets is equipped with its own windmill for green energy.

This man (if you can call him that) has done nothing but commit a slew of horrendous mistakes in every way and place when given the chance. Namely in the economic, military and international arenas - each of which have been a disastrous public relations train wreck. Not to mention his embarrassing digestive issues in the public eye. The short and long term consequences of which have done nothing but hurt this country. Both conservatives and liberals see and hear it loud and clear, although liberals won't admit it. There is an accounting, which is this Resident of the White House, who was Selected not Elected, will most certainly be removed from office and not a moment too soon. The previous president uplifted our position both domestically and internationally, while this Oaf of Office has done the exact opposite.

sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
I can't see it that way.
The energy problem triggered by boycotting Russia's oil is only a hiccup in a much bigger global problem of excessive use of fossil fuels.
The world has an urgent need to transition to renewable energy sources augmented by batteries and long reach transmission lines for sharing.
Once everything goes electric there will be no more fuel problems, and far fewer problems with machine breakdowns and maintenance. Those who work in these industries will find their jobs in creation and maintenance of renewable power sources and electric devices.
Every technological revolution carries some pain in the adjustments, but, like computers and mobiles, the benefits are irresistible.

@hartfire One of the great things about our constitutional republic and the concept of liberty is by it’s very nature, citizens can question anything. Including election processes. If they cannot or should not, freedom is lost and citizens are now subjects. Don’t know about you, but I’d rather be a citizen.
@rfatoday I agree about being a citizen, questioning the processes used by authorities and holding them accountable, no matter what side they're on.

Follow the chain of events that hinged on the infamous ballot box 13 vote count.

Crooked elections put crooks in office.
Vin53 · M
HAHAHAHAHAHA...Cons are never going to accept the reality of the 2020 election. Elections have consequences people and the moron you clowns elected in 2016 was fired in a free and fair election.

Biden is now coming up to speed and you cons can grovel in your own self-pity as his job ratings sky rocket.

why would I need to clarify between opinion and indictment?

Not between opinion and indictment, moron.
Between what you say and what you mean!

The man struggles. His handlers must surely be embarrassed and indignant. Because he is unable to do his job, should the 25th Amendment be set in motion?

@Budwick
They all ( who wanted Trump gone) told Joe…we’ll make your life long political dream a reality…BUT you will be beholden to us, you will do as you are instructed. You ‘ll catch praise and condemnation but that’s ok, we got you the job, you play the role, WE RUN THE SHOW.

November can't come quick enough
Drill, baby, Drill, I guess.

Flip side of this is, what's the long term plan, or does anyone care?

I get that Dems want to kill fossil fuels and Republicans don't, but what's the plan down the road? I'm not convinced Biden (or those who are "handling" him) has one that will work, but carpe diem doesn't really appeal to me much.

Wind won't work, and Trump thinks it causes cancer, but what about nuclear or something else?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MistyCee
getting rid of pesky public safety regulations

Don't know what you are referring to.
I know a lot of democrats already just skirt the law with bad results.
You'll have to be be more specific.

I'd like to see all alternatives to fossil fuels being looked at,
Well, they're trying out solar and wind - they sound cool - just not ready for prime time.
Having something would be nice before they turn off my natural gas.
@Budwick I agree. I live in an oil/natural gas producing state, have worked with the industry, and while I've done well enough during the booms and even the relative busts, I've also seen the effects on the environment, politics, and the State.

It hooks into another post, but extracting limited natural resources, destroying wetlands and barrier islands to do it, just doesnt seem sustainable in the long run.

Politics over spending/taxing/incentivizing particular industries are inevitable, but I really with there was room for grown up consensus about changing our dependancy on fossil fuels globally.
Budwick · 70-79, M

#1 - Let's take care of us.
#2 - We need an alternative
It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. The Biden admin will drain the reserve and then the real oil supply shock will hit. They have it planned.
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
It's amazing how many people fail to understand macroeconomic forces. Gasoline prices always follow crude oil prices, and looking at any graph of gasoline prices will show you that prices started to rise before Biden ever took office.

The pandemic drastically saw crude oil production get cut by unprecedented amounts, but a quick rebound with businesses reopening created a large discrepancy between supply and demand. Any intro to economics class will tell you that when demand outweighs supply, prices tend to rise accordingly.

OPEC, Russia and other oil-producing nations on Sunday finalized an unprecedented production cut of nearly 10 million barrels, or a tenth of global supply, officials said. The agreement is aimed at boosting crashing oil prices amid the coronavirus pandemic and a price war, yet oil prices were little changed on Monday.

"This could be the largest reduction in production from OPEC for perhaps a decade, maybe longer," said U.S. Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette, who credited President Donald Trump's personal involvement in getting dueling parties to the table and helping to end a price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia.
......
A number of analysts noted that it was the first time in memory that a U.S. president had pushed for higher oil prices. That would help the U.S. frackers and other oil producers. But it could also boost the price of gas at the pump at a time when American consumers are already hurting from the coronavirus-driven economic downturn.

@TinyViolins So, was it Obama, Soros or Hillary that's responsible?

I mean, I took macro, but economics was in the School of Liberal Arts, so that can't possibly be an acceptable source of information. I thought Adam Smith was a foreigner, like Marx. How can that be the answer to anything?

TinyViolins · 31-35, M
@MistyCee People create villains in order to feel like the hero. Rather than attack the problem, we attack each other. People don't want to understand anything, they just want to bolster their self-image. The best way to do that is to find scapegoats
Confined · 56-60, M
With out oil reserves china can take over easy.

As I see it, America is more powerful today than ever, and rightly so. At the moment its most dangerous enemy is going to the dogs on the battlefield, and the US is doing everything in their might to accelerate its fall. Yes I mean Russia.
Confined · 56-60, M
@helenS The ruble is skyrocketing. But still getting asses kicked on battle field.
helenS · 36-40, F
@Confined The Biden administration made sure there's not much you can by for your rubles. 😏
Lucia · 36-40
If republicans refuse to accept that trump was a disaster, why should democrats about Biden?

The US is already past accepting the obvious. It is more about being right than doing right.
Lucia · 36-40
@Budwick What it says. Good luck.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Lucia Well, my response to is obvious~!
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@Lucia what does Biden's failures have to do with Trump? Or Republicans? Trump isn't the president. Democrats control the agenda in both houses. Democrats have their foot on the accelerator and their hand on the shift lever.
JuniperEmz · 22-25, F
Not saying I love Biden much (much as I know details of what's going on in the US), but isn't the reserve to do exactly this?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@JuniperEmz There's too many weak kneed politicians in DC. And we have a media here that will do everything they can to destroy anyone that steps out of the party line. It's getting a little scary to be honest. The up coming mid-term elections may well set the direction of America going forward either to recovery or communism.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@Budwick even worse still, he's even giving it away, to countries like China of all things...
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
exporting any oil from strategic reserves should be considered treason....

By October, the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve will shrink to a 40-year low as the White House taps it to put a lid on global oil prices.

https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2022-06-17/the-us-is-depleting-its-strategic-petroleum-reserve-faster-than-it-looks
Vin53 · M
Yes. That's what we're all here talking about but thank you for reiterating. 🙄

@markansas
You win. We're burning so much gas and oil and gasoline that California is burning its life away.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
In the case of CA good riddance to bad rubbish. @Roundandroundwego
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Aren’t most of the reserves going overseas?
JimBeam · M
China has dirt on the Biden crime family, and Biden is doing his best to protect his family.
strongbow · 46-50, M
Well to be fair he did say many times before being illegally placed into the presidency his goal was to stop oil and gas if he was president🤷‍♂️
