none. I dont give a shit about politics or what my friends opinions on politics are. Shows just how crazy people are becoming where they cant be friends with people with opposing views. It is pretty ridiculous

@Torsten I agree. The one friend I lost is still a friend but she is quite bitter and distant. That was caused when I shared a few studies regarding masks. She became quite upset and couldn't relax. I just ignored her for a while thinking she would chill out but she has changed, unfortunately.

I guess that is the difference between people who prioritize politics over relationships.

Some people dive into fear when the TV tells them to.

There were two friends that got really stupid and just couldn't stop themselves from insulting some of my other friends or me over politics. After a couple of warnings, I told them to go take a flying f**k, blocked them and deleted their contact info.

At least you purged that negativity. Honestly the division isn't such a bad thing. I have seen it filter out a lot of toxic friendships in friend circles.

I lost one friend, whom I told not to get vaccinated...she did and died last summer of cancer that proliferated after that.

I haven't lost any but sometimes it gets a bit uncomfortable talking to them because of subjects like covid, that truckers convoy and Trump. I don't think it used to be like that we would disagree but now it seems like people are getting more and more divided. Cheers!

I don't think it was politics. I usually keep it to myself since they're no where near with that kind of conversation but I lost everyone by Choice because I need to change.

@MySpiritEvolves I have a cousin that worked in the Prime Minister's Office in Ottawa. She got so mad at me she blocked me on facebook. Funny thing was I was simply stating widely held theories that the majority of Canadian agreed with.

none. even with friends of different political leaning i'm still fine with. we can discuss topics but it never really plays a factor in our friendship.

In real life, none. Even the few Republicans in my life never liked Trump. On EP, a surprising number. I’m guessing they were never really friends. On the other hand, I gained friends among the "resistance" who are still in my circle, so it worked out.

I have one I had to forbid sending texts to me. I'd literally wake up to 25-30 anti Trump bizarre scenarios every day.

It was having my own personal Mark...Paul

For 6 years he was incapable of any other subject. We're still friends but I'll never really trust him again
