no you have to have evidence. another hoax like russia, you need evidence to impeach. cant go on heresay or what ever someone thinks, just because you hate someone, you cant make something up to remove them.
@QuixoticSoul what you have been posting on here has been completely nonsense. your hatred has made you delusional. im not that supportive of trump because he is pretty egotistical and doesnt care about the environment but what you dems are posting is clear hatred and nonsense.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@badapple Trump is getting impeached. I don’t understand how this isn’t clear to any observer at this point. Republicans are largely resigned to the inevitable at this point.

Nothing’s been made up 🤷‍♂️ - he did what he did.
Viper · M
@QuixoticSoul Because people misunderstand the definition of impeachment. Most think it's the act of being kicked out of office, when it's really only the act of being tried by Congress (I believe, not 100%).

I think the house will impeach him, but the Senate will won't do anything with it and he'll stay in office as far as the impeachment goes.

calicuz · 51-55, M
No, I don't think they have enough evidence
@Kwek00 I tried but got thrown out of my local ML Party over some comments I made when asked about my opinion.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Well, at least you did more then me :) congratz
@Kwek00 Thanks. I am looking into other groups and possibly the IWW.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
Impeachment is all but certain at this point. Conviction, not so much. In fact, I would say that acquittal in the Senate is almost as certain as impeachment in the House. This is the state of our politics today. 🤦‍♀️
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Kwek00 Well, for seven plus years I've been anonymous on here. I'm not sure I can change that at this point.

But as you walk around Brussels, just be nice to any young female American naval officers you happen across! 😉
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@sarabee1995 Well, I'm just taking you for food. After that, I'm back to my belgian ways, I wasn't going to follow you around or annything. But I do know a good restaurant that has horse 🤤
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Kwek00 hmm... very tempting 🙂
TexChik · F
As I have said several times before , the house has plenary powers in this matter . That means they can impeach for absolutely anything they have the votes and the political capital to bring forward ( I would say proof but there is none in this case that is remotely credible) . Pelosi yesterday admitted this process has been going on for 3years. I knew with Mueller that if the house turned blue Trump would be impeached , not for any wrong doing , but to deflect from their own crimes and because of sour grapes for losing the election in 2016. The senate will never convict ... leaving the democrats to explain or in this case lie about what transpired .
SW-User
@TexChik Horace already tried that one, it didn’t work.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@SW-User public school i think is a waste of tax dollars
SW-User
@Mountainlady16 paved roads? You must like them?

Seriously though, you are entitled to your opinion, not your own facts.
Impeachment means the President is charged with misdeeds. If the House submits the charges, the Senate tries the President and returns a guilty or not guilty judgment.

The House will likely make the charges and the Senate (unless they have a different Republican candidate mouse in their pocket as a surprise) will likely not convict.

It is on both sides a political theatrical production and a waste of time and money,

But that never stops them.
@Mamapolo2016 Best Answer!
Ynotisay · M
Absolutely.
Removed from office is another question.
firefall · 61-69, M
impeached but not convicted - the Senate will vote on party lines, there's no way the Rethugs will impeach their party leader
BlueVeins · 22-25
50/50 chance he's impeached, 10^-30 chance he's removed from office. Congress has become far too partisan for cases to actually be judged on the basis of the available evidence.
He will be impeached, but not thrown out of office.
By the House because the Democratic base will not allow any other outcome.

Not by the Senate, because there isn't enough admissible evidence, and the Republicans won't allow it.
@QuixoticSoul Technically true. But without a guilty verdict in the Senate, the House impeachment means nothing. Pointing out that only the House can impeach is basically an argument of semantics.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@PrivateHell Being impeached is not nothing - Johnson, Clinton, and Trump will have an asterisk next to their names for the rest of American history, and remain examples of conduct that the presidents are simply supposed not partake in.
firefall · 61-69, M
@PrivateHell isnt enough admissible evidence?? open admissions of guilt aren't enough?
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
Impeached yes! The 2 articles are abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Plenty of evidence for obstruction of Congress! And as far as abuse of power...plenty there also if you take all the evidence as a whole and dont try to cherry pick it. The whistleblower complaint came first and all the witness testimony just verified it.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@badapple 😂
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@badapple Of course it was.
@QuixoticSoul lol. no it wasnt. second hand info that didnt even match what was said on the transcript. lol right.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
I pray he does.
Carver · 31-35, F
No. Even if he is, it won’t matter because he won’t be removed from office.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Carver You don't think the House will vote to impeach? Wow, I think that is almost a certainty.
Carver · 31-35, F
@sarabee1995 I haven’t really been following that at all, tbh. Maybe they will. 🤷‍♀️
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Carver Pretty sure at this point the House will impeach and the Senate will acquit and we will go back to yelling at each other. 🤦‍♀️
JeanAnna · F
Yes, but he won't be removed from office. The Republicans are scared to remove him for fear they'll lose their senate seats. Shame on them putting party before our country.
JeanAnna · F
@Mountainlady16 I see you can't defend Trump so you start bringing up unfounded comments about Obama. Typical Trumper who has her head in the sand.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@JeanAnna Trump has done nothing wrong tbe democrats were after him the minute killary conceded the election
JeanAnna · F
@Mountainlady16 Thanks for the laugh.
rckt148 · 61-69, M
Maybe ,but he won't be removed as president ,in the senate they will never get the votes to remove a sitting president ,but they are only trying to stop him from being reelected .
If he is impeached that will bar him from reelection .
@rckt148 same thing is happening to texas, with a lot of californias moving in. it totally changes things for people who lived there, people from other states want things to be like how it was in the state that they left.
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@badapple Yea our whole city council is people from up north
They took my Uncles name off of city hall (it was voted to be put there by the people when he retired for being the first mayor and holding the office longer then any other mayor in the state ,
Hiring the first African American police officer ,the first female and appointing the first female Chief of police ,,so he was loved as was my Grandpa and Great Grandpa .
The disband our police department calling it corrupt and hired the sheriffs department to patrol ,,now wait time for a cop is 45 min ,murder has now come into our town ,drugs abuse is through the roof and the promise of bringing in bigger business I guess was a dollar store ,and all the local owned stores closed ,they can't compete with the dollar store ,
It was a small family town in my day ,now its a ghost town
everyone is leaving ,or on drugs
@rckt148 thats sad
I find it likely, though it makes no difference at all.

Addendum: After signing that 'executive order' that is in itself a violation of the First Amendment, if he's not impeached, I see things going really bad really quick.

FTR, I don't believe in any of the governmental, political or religious nonsense, I am just stating a fact, and I'll even quote the part of the First Amendment that the 'executive order' violates:

"...no law shall be written that respects any establishment of religion..."

Judaism is not a nationality; it is a religion, a mortal-made fallacy to boot (as all religions are).
ShaythePanTransMan · 22-25, T
Likely, but I doubt he will be removed from office, especially when there’s a red majority in Senate.
daisymay · 51-55, T
I expect the House will vote for impeachment, but the fix is already in in the Senate. Moscow Mitch and Leningrad Lindsey already assured us that they will acquit the Orange Traitor, before any evidence was even presented.

I fully expect after they do it to see bills presented that will codify the PotUS power to commit treason to win elections, but only for GOP Presidents.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
impeached Yes Removed from Office No
eli1601 · 70-79, M
Impeached, yes. Removed, no.
Straylight · 31-35, F
I doubt anything will come of it.
Poppies · 61-69, F
I am sure the House will impeach him but the odds are against the Senate voting to remove him from office.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
So far every action by the dems has been solely partisan. I imagine you must have overlooked that by accident 🤠 @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
JeanAnna · F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow That's very true. McConnell is saying he will consult with Trump's lawyers as to how to conduct the impeachment trial. Have you ever heard of a defendant running his own trial? I sure haven't. McConnell should be impeached right along with his master.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
[image deleted]@JeanAnna
I would have said he would be impeached but not convicted.

Now I am thinking he will more likely be censured.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Biden is trending down and isn’t likely to get the nomination. The dems have already baked themselves into house the senate and the White House. Mrs Pelosi was right along and the dems had they wanted to win should have listened to her. @QuixoticSoul
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson Pelosi also changed her tune when the potus took a shit on the table. Some things simply require a response.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That’s your view of the call. More reasonable minds may differ. @QuixoticSoul
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
Does it even matter? It’s not like he’s gonna be thrown out of office. Why bother to even waste your time watching it?
I think people will stubbornly stick to their ways until the world crumbles around them. Nothing lasts forever.
No probably not. Not with a republican controlled Senate.
Ynotisay · M
@MrBlueGuy But impeachment is solely a House decision.
@Ynotisay Well I mean it in terms of him being removed from office. The charges mean nothing all that matters is the conviction. And when you have a Democratic controlled house and a Republican controlled senate the whole impeachment process is a complete waste of time and money.
Ynotisay · M
@MrBlueGuy I'm sorry but I disagree. The House is a co-equal branch of government. Their JOB is to make sure the Constitution and rule of law is followed. I have a feeling you won't believe this but this impeachment trial really isn't about Trump. It's about setting precedent and protecting the nation from future issues where a President oversteps his or her power. Believe me, the Democrats would MUCH rather not have this issue on their plate. But they have no choice. The Republicans have turned it in to something it's not. And what you just said is the result.
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
He’ll definitely get impeached. It’s just very unlikely he’ll be removed from office.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
A month ago it looked like a foregone conclusion. Now with the polls showing a majority of people are against impeachment, moderate Democrats are wavering. Democrats in vulnerable districts are equivocating. Right now I'd say it's 6 to 5 and pick 'em
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
After all this impeachment BUSINESS, I think the Senate will not vote to impeach. And if Trump leaves office in 2020, it will be the voters who decided that, not the Democrats.
SW-User
No the Republicans won't vote against him so... 🤷‍♀️
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@SW-User theres enough Democrats in the house to impeach him without a single Republican vote is what this asshole means
SW-User
@Mountainlady16 Ahhh… ok thanks haha
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@SW-User yeah impeachment doesnt mean removed though he wont be removed
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
Never. The Senate will protect him. The point is not following the law but keeping the political power. 😒
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
Yes the Democrats havr the votes to do it but will he be removed from office no
SW-User
Likely not, but I’m holding out hope that a few senators backstab him 😂

Not a chance! Everyone except a very small amount of brainwashed fools know this is just another made up political scam by the democrats because they can't beat him next year even with their cheating! The democrats are soon to become extinct, and they know it!

He most likely will be impeached by the house. The senate hears the case and votes
on the case

Near-certainty at this point.

Probably not, but I wish
I have no idea at this point. Even if he does, he’s not leaving.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
Yes. But the Senate will acquit.
