The report could very well say that the reason Mueller doesn't recommend indicting Trump is because the Justice Department policy is to not indict a sitting president.
Given Trump's Twitter Silence this weekend, I suspect that may be the case.
@jackjjackson I am a Democrat and I have to admit this is a big embarrassment for Democrats and for their own sake I hope that in the future they think twice before they put their foot in the mouths attacking Trump blindly without any evidence.
@curiosi A good education makes you much more likely to get a good paying job so you can have a nice car and nice clothes and a nice house in a nice neighborhood and money to enjoy travel and the better things in life. Is that not better?
Anyone uncertain about McCain (not his military service-non issue) but his involvement in this whole affair of collusion; I recommend "Rogue Spooks" by Dick Morris-the dossier that is alleged to have sparked this whole debacle has yet to be produced but allegedly McCain had involvement with it. The book says much. Very timely book, too.
If you've read the book, you'd see where many in the media would not touch any part of the story-because nothing was verified. Now if something has come to pass where said dossier has been verified , it's not being made public-why?@HerKing
@soar2newhighs Why would it be made public? The FBI deal with 1000s of cases each year and you and I know nothing about them until they come to court and even then only if they're a newsworthy case. They seldom if ever give out how they gathered evidence and frequently don't make it public if it's security sensitive, and only the jury and judge and lawyers see it.
@jackjjackson Sure. Sadly, being American doesnt excuse you from either being a fool, or voting for them. You can form your wagons in a circle all over again. But your country has been sold up the river and you voted for guy who will see the rich get whats left while he lines his own pockets.🖕 China is just waiting for the right moment to make a move on the $US as the worlds reserve currency, and Trumps latest threat to the indendendence of the Fed could give them just the opening they need. If that happens, the US economy is Game Over. I dont care how many guns and how many gods you have to protect your freedom. You will be protecting yourselves against each other.
[@Jackjjacksonjr You know perfectly well I live in Australia. So this is the "You arent American so you dont count" argument. Whats next. Hillarys emails? In my opinion from previous comments, you are not as stupid as you pretend, which leaves you with another agenda yourself. What it is or whether you take money for pushing it is none of my business. But on this subject you are on my turf, no matter where in the world you or I hail from. And you sir are WRONG.
Should the conservatives who said it would completely exonerate him also apologize?
We know that his campaign shared information with the Russians, even if Trump wasn't personally involved.
We know that people in his inner circle committed crimes.
We know that Mueller has already turned over evidence of financial crimes to the New York AG office.
We also know that no matter what the report says, Republicans will never vote to impeach him, despite the unanimous approval to release the report, 420-0.
@jackjjackson Let me be clear, I can't stand the guy, but I'd prefer to just disapprove of him on policy and personality, than to find out that he's a criminal and a traitor. That would be far more embarrassing to our country than anything else he's done.
I mean, we elected him, so what does that say about us and our system if he ends up in prison? The process is supposed to weed out people like that. So I do sincerely hope that Trump goes down in history as just another conservative Republican, end of story.
@DeWayfarer So is William Barr who wrote the summary and was opposed to the investigation from the very start. The summary should have been written by a bipartisan committee.
@jackjjackson Nobody is gonna make me watch that garbage news network. I also don't see any real news updates since "The report is done and with the AG. There are no new indictments."
There is an election in a year and a half if the Dems were smart they would drop this Russia nonsense and find some issues to run on other than Socialism @PTCdresser57
I dislike Trump as much as anyone but I don't want to see him impeached. He's going to be limited by a now bi-partian Congress anyway for the remainder of his term and then I want to see him thoroughly defeated in 2020 but I really doubt he will run again as I suspect he knows he would be and his superego can't handle that.
@AnneHoney Well that's fine with me because I don't want any dealings with you about anything including further discussions on SW. Slashing the interest rate is like a caffeine high- it temporarily boost borrowing and spending- but when consumers see their debt rising they cut back down to squash it and that's what's happen now. Time will tell which one of us knows what we are are talking about.
Report yes. Tax returns no. The question is whether the Dems believe there is enough to impeach him. If so they will start proceedings. If not then no. It’s not up to you or me. The Constitution controls. @Lila15
@jackjjackson The Constitution is vague. "High crimes and misdemeanors" are whatever Congress says they are.
We may not see the tax returns until 2020 or later. Some states are requiring candidates to release their tax returns if they want to be on the ballot, so if that happens, he'll have no choice.
Why wouldn't you want to see his tax returns if they contain evidence of wrongdoing? Why should he get a pass on that?
Mueller didn’t subpoena tax returns. A subpoena certainly could be issued by appropriate authorities under appropriate circumstances. Any such laws enacted by blue states will be overturned.
Either the House does something or it doesn’t. That’s the law. Why should anyone cave to CNN and MSNBC whiners? @Lila15
You mean like they apologized for their vicious attacks on General Flynn, Justice Kavanaugh, etc. etc.? I wouldn't hold my breath. They will roll right on to a new attack, like nothing ever happened.
Flynn was driven in to bankruptcy despite the FBI agent interviewing him concluded he committed no crime. Flynn just couldn’t afford to prove his innocence without making his family homeless. Prosecutors with unlimited budgets can force anyone to plead.
I never heard anyone make such a guarantee. Democrats and even many Republicans wanted some suspicious activity investigated and the fact that many indictments and guilty pleas have come from this investigation shows a lot of illegal things were going on.
Beto says there was collusion "beyond the shadow of a doubt" (video here: https://www.aol.com/article/news/2019/03/23/beto-orourke-says-trump-colluded-with-russia-beyond-the-shadow-of-a-doubt/23699152/) and he doesn't lie. Well, not if you don't count his getting into a drunken crash and leaving the scene, then lying about that. Or lying about the criminals and terrorists coming over the southern border.
Nope, even though he has no evidence, Beto says the President colluded, so that's good enough for me. When Mueller's report says there's nothing , we have Beto's word on this. So no apologies necessary.
@MasterLee you just threw out a bunch of names. It still doesn't explain what you mean. You can't be seriously suggesting they qualify as socialists of any description.
