Shouldn’t liberals/socialists that guaranteed the Mueller report would bring down the President apologize?

Should the conservatives who said it would completely exonerate him also apologize?

We know that his campaign shared information with the Russians, even if Trump wasn't personally involved.

We know that people in his inner circle committed crimes.

We know that Mueller has already turned over evidence of financial crimes to the New York AG office.

We also know that no matter what the report says, Republicans will never vote to impeach him, despite the unanimous approval to release the report, 420-0.

Funny that after the Starr report on Clinton congress changed the law and now the report can’t be released they all say let’s release it.

No evidence at all that Trump or anyone in his administration did anything illegal. All indictments were for issues before the campaign or unrelated.

But keep making crap up it will help re-elect Trump who has done a fantastic job as President despite the Dems@Lila15

@AnneHoney Let's see his tax returns. The man is a saint, so he has nothing to hide, right?
jackson55 · M
@Lila15 what are tax returns going to do? If he's done anything ilegal it's a IRS issue.
AnneHoney · 36-40, F
Since when do we examine a Presidents entire former life? No reason to show his tax returns. And why don’t the Dems care about the country and try to improve things only come up with yet another nonsensical attack on Trump personally. If his tax returns had illegal issues the irs would have done something when Obama was using the IRS as a political attack tool. How about Nancy introduce a bill to make the country better. Politics of personality is done by those. With no ideas on how to improve the country.@Lila15

@jackson55 It's an American people's issue if shows dealings with Russia that Trump wants to hide. The fact that Trump is the only president in modern history who has refuse to reveal his taxes is very telling. You better believe he's hiding something!
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@jackson55 As AOC's questioning of Cohen revealed, there could be discrepancies between his tax returns and other financial disclosures. Also, you make it sound like tax law violations are no big deal. A lot of people are in prison for cheating on their taxes.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@AnneHoney Bless your heart. We've always examined a president's former life. Trump was one of the people screaming the loudest about seeing Obama's birth certificate and college transcripts. We want to see his Trump's returns, just to make sure he isn't half a billion in debt to the Russians and hasn't lied about his income and net worth. And now that Richard Neal is in charge of the Ways and Means committee, we will get to see them.

When someone runs for president, voters are entitled to know everything about them in order to make an informed decision. If Obama had refused to release his tax returns, you people would have given yourself strokes screaming about it.

Mrs Pelosi doesn’t want impeachment. The SDNY will do nothing. It ere was exonerations. Admit you were wrong and I’ll send along a nice gift 😀 @Lila15
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@jackjjackson I don't think impeachment is a good idea either. I wasn't around during the Clinton impeachment, but from what I gather, it was pure partisanship. Impeaching Trump would divide the country and waste time because he'll never be convicted in the Senate. Plus, we don't have evidence that he actually committed an impeachable offense. Democrats talking about impeachment now is as stupid as when Republicans were talking about impeaching Obama.

We need to defeat Trump at the ballot box in 2020. As for "the SDNY will do nothing," I assume you have inside information? The NY AG will definitely "do something."
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
All this has been is a pathetic attempt to change the results of the 2016 election. In effect a failed coup last I looked coup attempts are treasonous. @Lila15
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@jackjjackson You're exaggerating. By that standard, the "birther" theory was an attempt to change the results of the 2008 election, so anyone involved in that was also participating in a treasonous coup. Falsely claiming that the president is ineligible after he's in office.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That wasn’t the mainstream media or an entire political party. @Lila15
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@jackjjackson I will agree, liberals made the mistake of assuming that because Mueller was investigating Trump, he was on their side.

But your definition of treason is wrong. Questioning the president and saying things about him that turn out to be incorrect is not treason, at least not in the United States. We are allowed to question the president and even say bad things about him.

There's an old joke, from the days of the USSR. An American and a Russian were talking about freedom. The American said, "I can walk right into President Eisenhower's office, and tell him he's doing a terrible job, and nothing will happen to me."

The Russian says, "Ha, I can do the same thing. I can walk right into Khruschev's office, and say to his face that President Eisenhower is doing a terrible job, and nothing will happen to me, either!"
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You KNEW what the Mueller report would say a couple of years ago didn’t you lol? Pretty much counting non hatched chickens. @Lila15
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@jackjjackson No, I hoped it would say certain things. Just like you did. You knew it would clear the president, and if it hadn't, you'd say it was a pack of lies, right?

But neither of us have seen the report itself or the supporting evidence, have we? Maybe you're satisfied and ready to move on, but I'd like to see the whole thing before deciding. There are a lot of unanswered questions.

Look, I'd be fine with finding out that the president did nothing illegal. The idea of a U.S. president conspiring with a hostile foreign power to influence his own election should alarm any thinking person. So I really hope we're being told the truth and it didn't happen.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Good for you. I sincerely mean that in a good way. @Lila15
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@jackjjackson Let me be clear, I can't stand the guy, but I'd prefer to just disapprove of him on policy and personality, than to find out that he's a criminal and a traitor. That would be far more embarrassing to our country than anything else he's done.

I mean, we elected him, so what does that say about us and our system if he ends up in prison? The process is supposed to weed out people like that. So I do sincerely hope that Trump goes down in history as just another conservative Republican, end of story.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Fair enough @Lila15
