Yes, that’s who Trump is. And lest anyone think he’s just talking about illegal immigrants, when he made the “sh*thole/sh*thouse” comments he was discussing immigrants here legally. So it’s all the same to him. 😒
@CountScrofula He won, not only because Democrats failed. Democrats failed because they stopped talking about poor whites. Much of the industrial heartland of this country has been hallowed out by technology and globalization. Blue collar jobs are on the decline. Let's also note that Gay Marriage, Higher Minimum Wages and Marijuana Legalization were accomplished via the supreme court and via local/state ballot initiatives. The Democrats in Congress didn't do this. The American People/Constitution did. Republicans also failed. They failed to show how conservatism will work for America. Instead we go a ton of Angry people who voted to destroy the system. Trump isn't racist. He likes people and groups that ally with him. He rails against those who don't. He is a thin skinned egomaniac.
@BayouBoudin " Trump isn't racist"...you win this award today...and every day you defend this moron...you are as dangerous as he and the rest of his insane base is
But .... you should see what liberals call ALL conservatives :) They don't single out individual or even groups but they insult everyone who isn't a liberal. I'm often called a racist and a deplorable just for NOT being a liberal, Clinton supporter. It's like in the 1970's when I was called a "baby killer" just because I wore a US military uniform.
Why do liberals insult ME because of what some racist KKK thug does or says?
You Don't Gotta Be Racist To Vote Trump, You Just Gotta Be Cool With Racism
Fact
Okay that's a really really really dumb argument. That's like saying you "don't gotta" be a terrorist to be Muslim, you just "gotta" be cool with terrorism. Or you "don't gotta" be a part of ANTIFA to vote democrat, you just "gotta" be cool with ANTIFA. Or even most relevant to this topic, you "don't gotta" support MS-13 to support immigration, you just "gotta" be cool with MS-13.
I mean come on now, that's an awful point and there are dumbasses and bad people in every political party, religion, race, etc. that MOST members of the group don't approve of, and that includes democrats too. That's just not a fair statement that you used and adds nothing to any real argument here.
SW-User
Said about MS-13 gang members, known for committing brutal crimes like child prostitution they are known for for kidnapping, raping, torturing, and drugging a 14-year-old girl for over 2 weeks. chopping limbs/bodyparts off with machettes
when you act like animals prepare to be called animals
@SW-User Most Trump supporters at protests are from known white supremacist groups that have carried pro Trump signs along side the Swastika flags. This is verified research. You can whistle innocently that it's not about race but the truth of the matter is that it's catering to that specific portion of his base.
@SatanBurger A pity that even the most blatant racists pretend not to know they’re racists. But they’re more concerned about being called racists than about trying to understand why they’re so perceived.
@Scubaguy027 Trump differentiates, and did even when he was campaigning. He said he wanted “more European immigrants”. I don’t know how much clearer he could’ve made it—until he made the “sh*thole” comments. And you’re letting your admiration for him blind you to who he really is. If you’re not seeing that, it’s because you simply don’t choose to. I also don’t understand how someone who served could still admire Trump after the way he and his staff have trashed John McCain, and he’s a fellow Republican. Maybe you can explain that, while you’re at it.
@bijouxbroussard i support the office of the President of the United States regardless of my personal feelings on who is in office. Keep in mind my admiration as you put it may not be what you think it is.
As far as McCain is concerned, yes the comments that have been made about him have been completely out of line and never should have been said. That is something I think we can both agree on. McCain himself lost my respect a few years ago with a few of his actions during the latter part of President Obama's administration, for me personally I don't care to hear his thoughts on anything any longer and he has not been relevent to me in about five years, he does still have my respect as a Veteran and that is something that will never change.
As far as his shithole comment, I have been to a few of the countries he said that about and as bad of an analogy as that is it's not that far off of the mark. That was a statement that while I agree with it should have been phrased much differently.
I will look for some clips of his speeches about immigration with more from white European countries, i vaguely remember it but truthfully I didn't pay much attention to President Trump or Hilary Clinton. To this day I firmly believe the lesser of two evils was elected
@Scubaguy027 I don’t share McCain’s politics at all. But I respect that he served and survived being a POW. Trump should’ve lost any support by the military the moment during his campaign that he made that crack about preferring people “who weren’t captured”. Coming from someone with five deferments, that was a slap in the face to anyone who served, especially those who returned with devastating injuries.
@HoraceGreenley what about when he said shitholes or shitheads about Africans? Was it referred to a certain group of gangs too? He said it in a public platform disgracing all people from a whole continent!
@HoraceGreenley what about when he said torture and kill the families of suspected terrorists? And I have that on video, from his darling Fox News. So someone's kid should be tortured or their cousin killed if they're suspected, even though those people aren't terrorists themselves? Should that apply to other terrorists like white supremacists? Can I kill the uncle of a KKK member then?
To be fair, its not just, and maybe even not really pure racism, in Trump's case. Its xenophobia he's working on, us. v. them. Real Americans v. Illegal immigrants, Republicans v. Democrats, Conservatives v. Liberals, Patriots v. Deep State Swamp dwellers, real Americans v. global elitists, law abiding citizens v. criminals, Judeo-Christians v. Muslims, straights v. gays or transgenders, gun owners v. gun takers, or people who respect our country v. Anthem knealers.
Racism is just one example of this, but the real key is letting people be angry and fearful and trusting him to protect them from boogeymen, and who the boogeyman is doesn't really matter. For example, China and North Korea are boogeymen at times, but not at others, and Russia, well, ... that does seem to be a less common boogeyman, but he did finally say something about nerve gas.
Its a human thing, and it creeps into all politics at times, but for Trump and Company, its a recurring and persistent theme to demonize your opponents rather than addressing an issue and to consolidate through separation and division.
MS13 immigration into the US increased 15 fold with the encouragement of the Obama administration. Eric Holder even provided them with assault weapons with his Fast and Furious program.
Considering how the US liberal news media has been encouraging Hamas to invade Israel lately, the attempt to connect Trump with murdering Jews is really another grasp at straws.
@Einstok So are you saying that disenfranchising blacks is acceptable and people should just take it because politicians are bad people ? You asked for examples and I gave you some. But that's why a majority of black don't trust Republicans. The GOP always lean on what was done to blacks during Jim Crow by Southern conservative Democrats while ignoring what they do to blacks in the 21st century.
@bijouxbroussard Nope. I am saying fight it with everything we have. I am just saying requiring ID isn't necessarily a bad thing. Let's get people IDs. Blacks don't trust the GOP? Good. What worries me is that many do trust Democrats.
@Einstok Mostly (based on people I know) it's more a case of the lesser of two evils. The Democratic platform supports labor unions, healthcare and access to education, as well as help for low-income citizens. The GOP likes to shame people who are poor, but many use the help as a hand up and not a handout. You just don't hear about them because "black welfare recipient" is a long cherished conservative narrative.
@beckyromero Yes, that's Bush era data - he wasn't popular around the world either. Obama changed that and then Trump caused opinions to plummet again. Shame.
No.. She was just another "business as usual" politician who was lazy and thought people wouldn't be stupid enough to vote for Trump. Turns out she overestimated a bunch of "Muricans".@sunsporter1649
@redredred The female journalist mentioned MS-13; in his response he only used the word people. Maybe he was referring specifically and only to MS-13 people, and maybe he wasn't. Certainly it's not a clear-cut case, particularly given his overtly racist, derogatory comments about Mexicans and immigrants in the past.
Do a little research and you'll discover an opinion is not a factual statement.
This is the last moment I'll waste with you. I've dealt with too many ineducable leftists who prefer their comfortable ignorance to easily verifyable information. Btw, the woman asking the question was a sheriff, not a journalist. Testing your presumptions much?@Graylight
@redredred Does it matter much? Like any good conservative, the argument will focus on an unnamed woman's profession rather than the fact this whole event is trapped and unaltered.
He referred to sanctuary cities in a tweet as a “crime-infested & breeding concept.” Words like infested and breeding makes it clear that he views immigrants as animals, and specifically as pests or insects.
When you dismiss any group or people with a meaningless ignorant label, you sacrifice the chance at understanding or solution. It's arrogant, frightened ignorance, plain and simple.
We are all animals , most forget this , how can you expect these people too respect tothers if like all of society they don’t even has respect for themselves
Ever seen an MS13 gang member ? Or many of these people that walk across our border ? They are animals ! They are dirty , disease ridden , often violent ... Animals !!
@sunsporter1649 No, not necessarily. "Illegal" and "crime" are not synonymous. Being in the country is not a crime at all, just as speeding is illegal but isn't a crime. Entering the country is a misdemeanor like trespassing.
@Graylight Tell that to the cop as he is writing you a speeding ticket. You have been arrested, and you bail is your signature on the ticket. Fail to obey the instructions on the ticket leads to more serious consequences. Same with illegal immigrants, failure to follow instructions, or return after deportation, leads to more serious consequences.
If in doubt, divert attention to foreigners. Either with conflict or home grown discrimination. I know its been going on since whenever but its still pathetic.
@HoraceGreenley Appeal to emotion fallacy. All gangs rape, torture and kill before being caught by cops. Good job 😂
Now what is Trump going to do about our general gang problem since all gangs use the same tactics to get members including targeted people who are vulnerable in high poverty situations?
