This Is My Idea Of A Beautiful Photo….

I saw a doctor online say if you are stressed, go watch chickens for an hour

@FreeSpirit1 My chicken usually takes an hour and a bit at 425° :)
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Patty81 I usually boil my chicken breasts for 12-15 minutes. Than pull it apart and
add Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. Than put it on toast with a slice of cheese.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
that is kinda beautiful, i kinda get it
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Matt85 Plus with the raised beds they aren’t right in the middle of the gardens. 😂
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@cherokeepatti Did you take this pic?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Matt85 No found it on Facebook.
DogMan · 61-69, M

We used to have chickens. I loved the fresh eggs.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou She is so sweet, just like a good dog. She is at Barn Buddies Rescue in Las Vegas.

I volunteer there, its a mile from my house. People dump animals there all the time.
They have 100's. Goats, chickens, pigs, llamas, ducks, rabbits, horses, ponies, peacocks etc.
I take care of their gates, and doors.
4meAndyou · F
@DogMan That is so wonderful! God bless you for your good heart!
DogMan · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou Lotta love for animals. My wife and I have lost count of the animals
we have had over the last 30 years. We bought a rural horse property, just so
we could help more animals.
PunkRockSuperStar · 56-60, M
So it is. I can almost hear them puck-pucking! 🙂
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@PunkRockSuperStar When I was little and lived on the farm I’d walk around the chickens (we had a lot) and imitate their sounds and they’d turn their heads to see where that chicken was at that was doing it. I got really good at it. I pranked my sister one time when we were walking in the woods near our house by doing it, was walking behind her. She kept saying “Where is that chicken, I don’t see it?”
PunkRockSuperStar · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti I find it a pleasant sound. It makes me think of quiet places on hot, sunny days. They're attractive creatures to look at, too.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@PunkRockSuperStar It’s a peaceful sound to me.
4meAndyou · F
I love raised bed gardens. Those almost look inspired by English gardens.
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti @PunkRockSuperStar There ya go, PunkRockSuperStar. The chickens will quickly remove the source of your distress. Just picture a nice long stringy worm...dangling from a chicken's beak....schlurp! schlurp!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
PunkRockSuperStar · 56-60, M
@4meAndyou I knew this was going to get worse! I'm making a rapid bolt for my bed before it does! 😂
4meAndyou · F
@PunkRockSuperStar 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry...can't seem to help myself...🤣🤣🤣
hmmm...i've heard of "put all your ducks in a row"....but chickens? 🙃
2ndtimeguy · 61-69, M
Chickens living the good life
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@2ndtimeguy And they look so pretty and healthy too.
2ndtimeguy · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti take it they are put up in the evening for safety reasons
AbbeyRhode · F
Awww, that is lovely. ☺️
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
It looks so pretty yet so unrealistic. 😅
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@CrazyMusicLover I have seen them. Chickens have a way of fertilizing the lawns…chicken manure is really strong. I had a garden where chicken pens had been previously and I grew some monster sized squash etc. I didn’t need to put fertilizer on that garden.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@cherokeepatti This is what normally a lawn looks like where poultry is kept here. But maybe in the spring when grass is fresh and there's enough moisture, it can grow that lush and long.

Or this. Lots of plants (weeds) and flowers, daisies, dandelions, clovers..

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@CrazyMusicLover When you have a lot of them it can look like that. Let them out for a couple hours and just a few of them probably wouldn’t look that way. And that’s a fenced in chicken yard.
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
That’s definitely a pleasing image!
icedsky · 51-55, M
Thats my idea of some good fresh eggs
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@icedsky yes it is. But I love to hear chickens making their little noises when they are searching for bugs and listening to them cackle when they lay eggs. Someone in our neighborhood has backyard chickens and it makes me happy when I hear that.
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
seems like they're going shopping at Costco
That is beautiful.
pride49 · 31-35, M
Chicken butt
DogMan · 61-69, M
That IS a beautiful picture. You should frame it. I live in the desert, I love all the
greenery.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@DogMan Oh we had long droughts for two years along with record-setting heat waves here over a decade ago. I never craved the color green so much in my life after seeing the landscape turn brown in the summer. Got the sun room enclosed and I painted the ceiling rafters a natural green color so I could see it in the summer and winter when I went out there and sat down. I painted my shed the same color too.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti Sounds like a nice place Patti. I'm lucky to live on a well, It would cost
a fortune to water all my trees and plants on city water. I planted 35 trees over the
years, along with vines, bushes, and grass for the dogs. Most of my trees are positioned
for shade from the brutal Las Vegas summer sun.
Magenta · F
Yees! 😍Those look like my chickens, lol. Same breeds. And the yard is my kind of perfecto.
deadteddy · 26-30, F
That garden is just too precious
