Would be impossible, since my only phone is my cellphone.

Heck landlines are becoming an extinct species.

People do talk on cellphones or regular landline phones. And for three hours. Done it myself before the existence of cellphones.

Yes, cause I have Call Awaiting ID so I know if a call is coming through to take it.
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
Yepp. I make a point of it, actually. I've also asked my mom to put hers away on multiple occasions. Usually while eating out, before, during, nad after the meal.

I have before and I imagine I could again
Yes. I always put my mobile away when talking to someone, no matter how long it takes.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I definitely could, once. I probably could again.
Ontheroad · M
Easily, actually preferably.

Only one person. My best friend since 14 years old
I've never owned or used a cell phone - - and my land line phone doesn't work.

I can go for complete days without using either my 'phone or the Internet. (The latter, on a broadband PC, as my 'phone is not on-line.)

I ADHD I have held friends captive with conversations
exexec · 70-79, C
Easy. I never check my cell phone unless it rings, which is rare.
GoFish ·
i'm usually having conversations on my phone but not for three hours

Yes.. I am fortunate that Iphones and Ipads came around later in my life.. I feel sorry for the younger generations, especally the kids who have been raised on Ipads and Iphones.. Their brains have been turned to mush..
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
@Adstar That's a broad generalisation. I was born in 96, so grew up largely with this technology, and don't have a brain that is "mush."
Adstar · 56-60, M
@MaryJo1996 I phones came out in 2007 and I pads came out in 2010.. So that means you would have been 11 when I Phones where released and no doubt you probably did not get the first edition.. So in your formative years you where free of them.. And Ipads came out in 2010 so you where not in your moms stroller as a 3 year old with your head stuck in an Ipad...

Most of the real damage done by I Phones and I Pads are done before the age of 12..
MaryJo1996 · 26-30, F
@Adstar Still, a fair old part of my days as a minor were with these things. However, point taken, i wasn't a literal child when they became available.
scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M
Just 3 hours ??
Very easily..
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
Probably if they were interesting. I can usually talk the hind leg off a donkey.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
As long as I wasn’t trying to avoid them, absolutely.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I can't see why not.
Magenta · F
Indeed. Half the time I don't even know where the thing is.
But three hours is pushing my limits of verbiage.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
Sometimes I try to talk to the evil looking clown that lives in my closet when it tries to peek at me at night, but when I go to open the door and talk, it's never there!

What a pity.

It must just be shy.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
My phone sits on the shelf by my bed like a real phone. I don't pay much attention to it. There is no life to be lived on an electronic device. It's just some 'puter nerds' greedscheme.
