Australian Telco - Telstra really has become pathetic

Yesterday I was at Cottesloe Beach, wifi - no service.
Today I am at Bickley Brook - Phone - no service.
Many times my wifi is reduced to one bar. It seems their service is becoming worse as the years pass.
I am really angry with them but try and make a complaint on-line? Impossible

I am paying over $1000 a year for very poor service.
I will be ditching them but they will not care. What is one customer leaving when they made $2 billion in profit last year?

I believe there's a totally different model in the USA.

They share the telecommunications receivers/repeaters. Subcarriers pay the larger more expensive main carriers for maintenance and upgrades/updates.

So basically everyone is getting the same service. My current service provider is through a government program, so it's free. Service is fairly good.

I know the West has many communication issues with distance and isolation. I never considered that would extend into Perth suburbs as well. Telstra is falling down on the job. Maybe time to check the coverage of the competition..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I do plan to look at other options. Getting beyond a joke, dropping out or no coverage at all.

The telco industry world wide is lowering their service standards. We have similar complaints in Canada

I think this is the issue with most things now, pure greed... they charge what they want for less and less be it goods or service and we just keep forking over the money
