@Juvia I have no idea where pictures would be. But I’m not so old that my photos from childhood were in black and white ya punk!

They’re pretty easy pets but you do have to put some work in. My sister got one because she felt bad I was breaking them up but she never trained him so he’d bite everyone.

I'm kinda curious about that too, can't be any worse than my birds bite at least. I'll be getting some babies, so they will be nice and young at least. Hopefully live a good two years at the least and maybe being young will make them easier to train.

Yea it really doesn’t require that much work. Just put some time into it. But they bites aren’t awful either. Enough to draw blood though

I feel like if you get a rat at least by time they pass then if you're in a different phase of your life, moving somewhere, etc. then you don't have to worry about them anymore.
But I'm also realizing that with getting them I'm definately gonna feel sad when they pass

I fed them every two hours even at night ontop of going to school which was horrendous. not to mention feeding sometimes for an hour or longer because it was more than one. and they all passed one by one.

but my depression has gone away now that my sleep has caught up...and somehow I'm not behind in school so that's good.
In the end the rat is at least my reward for working so hard. I was happier they died in a warm spot instead of outside on someone's lawn being eaten by something at least.

@Juvia That's just meant to be funny, they are not narcissists. My Mamakitty protects me when she thinks something might get me, it's sweet and adorable.😻 They aren't selfish, they just don't fawn over everyone.
One of my cats will give me her prey on request, and they come when I whistle.😻😻🤗
