Would you get a pet rat?

I'm planning on getting one for Christmas.
Truth be told I was actually taking care of an orphaned litter of baby mice on top of going to school so I am still catching up from sleep.

They all passed away sadly. I had to be up every 2 hours sometimes for an hour or longer feeding them for about three weeks and they passed anyways one by one.

So as a reward I'm going to get myself my own ratty since I worked so hard to care for these poor babies😊

@Juvia I have no idea where pictures would be. But I’m not so old that my photos from childhood were in black and white ya punk!

They’re pretty easy pets but you do have to put some work in. My sister got one because she felt bad I was breaking them up but she never trained him so he’d bite everyone.

I'm kinda curious about that too, can't be any worse than my birds bite at least. I'll be getting some babies, so they will be nice and young at least. Hopefully live a good two years at the least and maybe being young will make them easier to train.

Yea it really doesn’t require that much work. Just put some time into it. But they bites aren’t awful either. Enough to draw blood though
