I would open the window and offer the beastie a piece of carrot Ma'am.

Look at it as life enhancement for the mouse. For all its young mousy life it’s been living in an old decrepit shed full of moldy hay and with a leaky roof. It recently heard of this beauty of a house and is peering in the window to start to build a dream image of the house it wants.

Don’t worry until you hear a tiny battering ram at the door.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it and would continue eating. However, I probably would mention it to the host later on.
It’s outside, so who cares.

Mice are adorable. We once had several as pets.
Laugh - tell the host - keep eating - laugh some more.

I once watched as a mousetrap I set SNAPPED on a family of 4 mice all at once. Peanut butter was the bait - they love that stuff.

I would tell the host and stop eating. Seeing it would just ruin my appetite. And i would be afraid to leave. I just cannot do mice .
@AngelUnforgiven I definitely understand that. Just a couple of comments creeped me out.

It could be an interesting conversation point during a convivial meal. It's on the outside, so no different from a spider spinning a web, say.
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
I’d tell the host after eating. No sense in interrupting a meal for a mouse outside.

@JamesBugman Thanks a bunch. 😩

I would tell the host while making a joke about it. That mouse isn't bothering anyone. 😄
Ignore it incase the owner of the house feels embarrassed if I tell them.

Ignore it. I saw a mouse outside my house more than once and I eat here every day 😌

Ignore away…

Harmless critter on the outside. Enjoy your meal.

I made an accidental vote 🤣 im not sure if i changed it.

I might say something like "At least that guy stays where he belongs! "
@JaggedLittlePill So far nobody’s voted to run screaming out the house. Which means my sister’s not on here. 😅
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
At most I'll probably just address it so incredibly casually and then forget about it
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I would not be alarmed. I might say, "oh look, a mouse!" and keep eating.
That mother nature so I would Ignore it and continue eating.

So they can maybe prevent an infestation.
JamesBugman · 56-60, T
@bijouxbroussard Since it was coming from above, they are probably living in the atic and could be everywhere. Have you seen Ratatouille?
@JamesBugman I’m not looking to hear this. Not kidding.
JamesBugman · 56-60, T
@bijouxbroussard Sorry, just don't wear a dress there. Like ever. ;)
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
B. Every house has mice.
@uncalled4 Oh, puleeze don’t tell me that. 😰
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard Sorry. 🤗
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
@uncalled4 no they dont either i had mine checked inside and out and out traps in the attic and outside just to be sure, 6 years and empty traps. I saw a neighbor with some and was like do they know something that i dont know. So far so good.
Pfuzylogic · M
Where there is one, there is 20 and “Ben” is leading the horde somewhere!
@Pfuzylogic I don’t want to hear this ! I’m closing the post. 😩
