I just expeienced something I would call

Uncomfortable and Awkward.

I was approached by someone I casually know from a distance
She wanted to know if I would go out and get some coffee with her, she wanted to talk about sone things with me

I can't quite tell if she's asking me out on a date...primarily because I'm pretty sure that she's married with children

I don't want to burn any bridges, plus I want to keep things professional

{@ferric67] i can understand your alarm if she is already attached but i can not do not harm having a coffee . if you feel uncomforta then you can always say so

@smiler2012 long story short, i initially agreed (not fully understanding what her intentions were). I got to work this morning and it was apparent that the weather tonight would be icy...so i preemptively cancelled on her via an email i sent her in the morning. She responded and confirmed what I had thought but ignored (her marriage is ending and she wants to explore alternative possibilities). Before I left work, I responded and left it off as thank you but it won't work. She is a sweet woman who is attractive, now is not a good time for me though...but, I did leave it off that she has an ally in me if she needs support.

@Ferric67 did the right thing really do not want to get involved in a breakdown of someones marriage can be dangerous as you can get dragged in when it is really none of your business
