Pretty sure I shared this opinion here in the past, but

It never fails to amaze me how the same people who preach about mental health awareness are the same people treating others like dirt enough that they contemplate self deletion.

This includes professionals.
No wonder people don't reach out for help,
Like holy hell, man

This reminded me of this short movie I watched on Youtube.

@CrazyMusicLover the amount of this that actually happens is overwhelming
Fishy · 36-40, F
@CrazyMusicLover the other side of the coin is that they do "grow up" and become jaded, cold, distant and just unavailable for anyone,

And people will still complain about that too,
Because something something you're not being vulnerable enough 😂

It's such a coincidence that therapist broken down spells the rapist ? Mentally i think some of them are.
kodiac · 26-30, M
@Fishy Exactly
@kodiac Mental ones
@Fishy And some horribly do
Zonuss · 46-50, M
That's heavy.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
There are plenty of hacks out there, and people who will just listen to you talk for $150/hr.
@uncalled4 its big bizz.

"mah shrink said"......

no bastard had a shrink in the 80s
Fishy · 36-40, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout @uncalled4 Tbf tho, there's a lot more bs to deal with these days...

Sure the 80s had its problems, but not like today, especially with social media and watching every move you make, possibly waiting to destroy your livelihood

In the 80s, if you did something cringe, people rarely had a camera, and eventually you would live it down.

but internet is forever.

and I mean... politics is enough to send anyone insane these days too😂
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@Fishy I had a therapist in the 80s, not really again till right after 9/11.

On the other hand,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, maybe USERS with mental health problem should see,,, others offer support so don't turn your back
empanadas · 31-35, M
Yeah we are living with people who dont care about another person
Fishy · 36-40, F
@empanadas it's the equivalent to someone purposely shooting you in both kneecaps out of spite and then suddenly trying to express genuine concern about your physical wellbeing
empanadas · 31-35, M
@Fishy exactly its wild and depressing how much we lack empathy for others
Mental illness is a slippery slope, they now attribute every form of emotion to it now, it was also a very taboo subject for decades, and yes, the advocates can be quite militant.
