Forgiveness is more important than right or wrong.

Carissimi · F
No. I’d say it depends on the context. A small insignificant issue can be overlooked, but there are many serious issues, or acts, that most definitely are right or wrong. Forgiveness helps the one wronged, but depending on what was done, it can be a short or long process, or may never happen at all, if the act was heinous. Don’t confuse forgiveness with trust. I have forgiven many people in my life, but I don’t trust them. Your forgiveness does not mean the other person has changed.

@maskedbandit If God is all about forgiveness then why did he strike down so many. I don’t need a response, it’s just a valid question. God did not forgive everyone.
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@Carissimi It is valid. 🙂
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@Carissimi and oh, I won't try to answer that. 🤷
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
Forgiveness yes but depending on the situation, you can’t keep enabling them to do what they are doing.
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
@maskedbandit I agree with forgiving them but restoration isn’t always possible.
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@JustDJ76 Very true. I'm having problems right now between my son and I. 👍
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
@maskedbandit I’m sorry to hear that.
Fa8393 · 41-45, M
I think right and wrong is more about how we live are lives , forgiving someone takes a life time .
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@maskedbandit for those who killed over 6 million people? Seriously?
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 You cannot, and no one can, forgive everything. It all depends on the situation. If you would read what people had to say on this post, you would understand or at the least you should.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@maskedbandit please clarify them, you position. Do you actually forgive Hitler and the Nazis?
I forgive, but that doesn't mean I don't see someone's true colors.
Thatsright · 61-69, M
Severity of wrong plays into forgiveness or not.
teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
@Thatsright it's your principle against the offense. It is a battle...
Some wrongs are difficult, if not impossible, to forgive.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@bijouxbroussard there are not always "good people on both sides!"
@samueltyler2 Agreed. 😞
Piper · 61-69, F
I don't see the correlation, really.
@teachmetiger210503 Just a difference in perspective.
Perhaps you haven’t lived long enough.
teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
@bijouxbroussard lol maybe you are right.
Piper · 61-69, F
@teachmetiger210503 I've lived long enough to have forgiven many, many 'wrongs", and things I know a lot of people would not have. I know this, because they've told me.

I believe your reply to me was rather condescending and assumptive, but I forgive you! 😬
Do I still gotta forgive if I am right?
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@Dignaga Sometimes, it just depends. But forgiveness is the right way to go.
exexec · 61-69, C
I am all for forgiveness.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
Doesn't mean I have to talk to them
teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
@Rolexeo if you say so.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@teachmetiger210503 You need to have boundaries. You seem like you don't respect people's boundaries. Maybe that's why you disagree
teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
@Rolexeo I just respect your opinion that all.
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
As long as the other is wrong. Just joking. I know you are seriuos, and it's very true. 🙂
Vin53 · M
A staggering void range between the two.
teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
@Vin53 yes indeed but sticking to our righteousness and nurturing the wrong done to us fill this void with a dark creature called grudge and you become it's prisoner.
