Being real, getting out of one's comfort zone and keeping in mind how short this life is, which motivates you to not want to waste one hour of time, which makes you recognize the value of this life, which leads to the deepest and most important conversations of all.

James 4:14 - Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

So, I would like to ask you the most important question and that is if you were to die today, are you 100% sure you'd go to Heaven?

Read this and find out:

The Bible is really clear on salvation. It's not based on how good you are.

A lot of people think they're pretty good and they're going to get to Heaven because they're pretty good, but the Bible says in Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

The Bible says in Romans 3:10, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"

I'm not righteous, you're not righteous. And if it were our goodness that would get us into Heaven then none of us would be going.

So, you must admit that you are a sinner.

The Bible even says in Revelation 21:8, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

I've lied before, everybody's lied before. So we've all sinned and we've done sins worse than lying, let's face it. We all deserve Hell.

You must realize the penalty for sin.

But the Bible says in Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Jesus Christ, because he loves us, came to the earth. The Bible says he is God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). God basically took on human form and lived a sinless life. He did not commit any sin and of course they beat him and spit on him and nailed him to the cross.

The Bible says when he was on that cross he himself bare our sins in his own body on the tree. 1 Peter 2:24 - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

So every sin that you or I have ever done, it was as if Jesus had done it; he was being punished for our sins. And they took his body when he died and buried it in the tomb and his soul went down to Hell for 3 days and 3 nights (Acts 2:31). 3 days later he rose again from the dead. He showed unto the disciples the holes in his hands.

And the Bible is very clear that Jesus Christ died for everybody. 1 John 2:2 - And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

But there is something we must do to be saved. The Bible says in Acts 16:30-31 - And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

He didn't say join a church and you'll be saved, get baptized and you'll be saved, live a good life and you'll be saved, repent of all your sins and you'll be saved. No. He said believe.

You must believe that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again for you.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

And everlasting means everlasting. It means forever. Jesus says in John 10:28, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."

John 6:47 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Once you do this, the Bible says in 1 John 1:7, "...the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." So his blood cleanses you from all all past, present and future sins.

Colossains 1:14 - In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Romans 5:9 - Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Ephesians 1:7 - In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

So if you believe on Jesus Christ, the Bible says you have everlasting life. You're going to live forever. You can't lose your salvation. It's eternal, it's everlasting. Once you're saved, once you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you're saved forever and no matter what you can never lose your salvation. Even if I were to go out and commit some awful sin. God will punish me for it on tis earth, but I'm not going to Hell. There's nothing I can do to go to Hell because I'm saved. Anyone who believes on Christ cannot go to Hell because God cannot lie, because God said whoever believeth in him has everlasting life.

John 11:26 - And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

That's why there are a lot of examples of people in the Bible who did some really bad stuff yet they made it to Heaven. How? Because they were so good? No. It's because they believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. Their sins are forgiven. Other people who may have lived a better life in the worlds eyes or maybe even really they lived a better life, they don't believe in Christ so they're going to have to go to Hell to be punished for their sins.

You must trust Christ alone as your savior.

There was a question that was asked to Jesus by one of his disciples and that question was in Luke 13:23-24 - "Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able."

Matthew 7:13-14 - "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

And then he went on to say this in Matthew 7:21-23 - "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

You see the people here are trusting in their works. That is why they aren't saved. They never trusted in Jesus Christ. They trust in themselves.

The will of the father is defined in John 6:40 - "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day."

The will of the father is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

First of all, the majority of this world doesn't even claim to believe in Jesus, but God warned that even amongst those that claim to believe in Jesus, even amongst those that call him Lord, many trust in their own works. Salvation is not by works. And if you're trusting your own works to save you, Jesus is gonna say to you one day, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Notice he said I never knew you, not I used to know you, because once he knows you, t's everlasting, it's eternal. Once he knows you, you're saved forever. But the people who trust in their works he never knew because they were never saved because they never believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. if you go to Hell it's because he never knew you. Because once he knows you, he knows you. It's just like once your parents will always be your parents and your children will always be your children. When you're born again, when you're his child, you'll always be his child.

John 1:12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

You have to have all your faith in what the Lord Jesus Christ did. You have to put your faith in what Jesus did on the cross, when he died for you, he was buried and rose again. That is your ticket into Heaven.

Pray and ask Jesus Christ to save you.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. -Romans 10:9-10

Eternal life is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith. Anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved forever. Being saved is a one time event. All you have to do is ask.

Let me help you word a prayer. Realize it is not mere words that save, but your faith in Jesus Christ.

Dear Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner. I know I deserve to go to Hell. But I believe that you died on the cross for me and rose again. Please save me right now and give me eternal life. I'm only trusting in you Jesus. Amen.

Romans 3:24-26 - Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Listening is important. It's no fun talking to someone when you can see they aren't listening, but visibly counting the beats and waiting for their turn to talk. The best conversationalists take an interest in what others are saying.
It's also not enjoyable talking to someone who complains all the time. Everyone has problems, and the occasional complaint is expected, but no one wants to be around a habitual Debbie Downer.
And people who talk about nothing but themselves get very dull very quick.
I think the most enjoyable conversations have balance, with both participants contributing, listening, and discussing subjects of interest to both.

Engagement. Actively listening and asking questions that further ignites a subject they like talking about so you can see a snippet of the passion that lies within them. The engagement has to go both ways though otherwise it’ll eventually fall silent if one person is showing all the interest. Shared humor by itself can really float a conversation into one filled with a ton of dopamine, making it easy to keep the engagement going. Common interests can make a conversation flow and forge a bond, but it’s also really cool to have limited knowledge concerning certain hobbies/careers and have the other person open your eyes to that area of newfound education.

This morning, I had a great conversation with a retired dentist and his wife, a retired elementary school teacher. We were working together at a Food Bank distribution, and we enjoyed sharing stories about growing up, college, and how fortunate we have been across the years.
Sometimes it's just the feel of certain people, makes them easier to engage. If they are closed off, or just answer yes or no, or if they just answer a question without any follow through conversation opener..it's kinda hard to keep conversation going. I am not going to keep a one sided conversation flowing.
It's easier with some. People connect and click differently. Personally it takes me time, but I have met people I click with right away.

Like a game of tennis, a good conversation is one that's gets interesting when each volleys the ball properly and just not smash it or display unruly behaviour while playing.

Most do not know how to differentiate online conversations to that of real time, but behave like real time finding fault and being judgemental without any positive contribution.

Listen to the other person and be willing to talk about their interests with asking questions on that interest as most will love to explain that interest further to someone who enjoys listening to that.

I mean, as in getting to know one another in a romantic situation or like just in general?
I would just have small talk & sometimes something will pop up that you're both really interested in.
Me not being part of it usually.

Someone you're comfortable being open with on topics you both have interest in

Ask appropriate questions and tease out more information, while also sharing appropriate information to try to prime the pump.
meggie · F
Dont ask a question and then interrupt with another. Too many people do this and dont realise how annoying it is.
When you click and the conversation just flows
