The pictures are generated by infrared light, very similar in concept to a heat signature on military weapons.

We can Gather far more Detail and those Knowledge then ever before

I think this is very cool. I am an amateur astronomer, with a small telescope of my own. The views, and the promise of future views, from Webb are utterly mind boggling.

They will probably discover that some mass is hurling towards the earth and decide we need to wear helmets.

Anything they discover they say "The planet is really doomed this time."

Love the photos, not so sure about the name since Webb has been widely reported to have been complicit in the State Department's purge of homosexual individuals from the federal workforce.

We already know that there are many billion trillion Zillions of planets, stars up there.

We have been waiting for a long time for this next generation telescope.
We are going to learn so much more about the universe.

it does give one thoughts about the probability of other life forms, and how small we are.

I still prefer a pitch black room and remote viewing. No distance is out of reach.
