Yes. I never had a lesson. The municipal swimming pool was one of my mother's babysitters during the summer when we traveled to visit her family. She would just drop me and my cousins at the pool and then leave. It was sink or swim...🤣🤣🤣

At school I was the swimming champion by a huge margin. Now after a gym workout I swim 80 lengths of the pool.

Yes.
Learned at age 7 from my grandparents, when we went swimming most days during the summer.

I wouldn’t make a Navy Seal but I have been swimming since 13.

I'm average. My wife was excellent.

Breath control is the trick to swimming. If you suck in a big breath and hold it you won't sink, then just control how much air you let out as you paddle and kick your feet.
I grew up swimming

I learned to swim when I was 9 or 10 years old. I'm an OK swimmer if I had to guess.

I'm an average swimmer.

Not an olympic level swimmer, but I can swim, nonetheless.

meggie · F
I can swim, but would never win a race.
Depends on what the lifeguard looks like
Nit3v · 22-25, M
@treeovdeath just jump in there..... Paddle ur legs and borrow handful of water towards ur body ... Don't be rush and scared u gonna float automatically
@Nit3v I know how to swim. I was joking. If the lifeguard looks good, then I “don’t” know how to swim.

Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Everyone who served in the Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard will learn to swim or be processed out. That's a mighty long bus ride home, clabber for brains.
Back in the day swimming safety lessons were mandatory a week before opening, usually memorial day, for all kids 12 and under that wanted to swim during the summer.
