I do on my desktop occasionally. Never had an issue there, but system is pretty secure. I tend to stick to same sites. Block ads, don't click on weird stuff, and don't give out info.

Never on my phone.

Viruses are harder to get on smart phones due to built in protections by the phone manufacturer and app developers.

They can more easily be obtained on PC's, which is my method of choice.

For a PC, just make sure you have a good anti-virus protection service installed.

I've watched porn on websites on my laptop. Unlike years ago, these sites have been relatively free of viruses.
Most of the viruses these days are caused by searches involving celebrities rather than from porn websites.
I've gotten viruses from stories about celebrities and even sports, but not from porn websites (but I'm also not dealing with independent sources, sticking to major sites like PornHub which have anti-virus software).
They have done a good job of preventing viruses on msjor porn sites in recent years.
The websites' anti-virus should work whether you're using a desktop, laptop or cellphone.

Anything you click on, especially porn sites, can contain malicious agents.

Most people will not realize they've been infected because the malicious code will not "advertise" its presence and your personal data will be compromised (financial info, contact lists, social media).

Never click a link, instead go to the source. For instance if your bank sends you a link asking you to change your password, it might be a phishing attempt. Scammers are very sophisticated so protect yoursell.
