Anything you click on, especially porn sites, can contain malicious agents.
Most people will not realize they've been infected because the malicious code will not "advertise" its presence and your personal data will be compromised (financial info, contact lists, social media).
Never click a link, instead go to the source. For instance if your bank sends you a link asking you to change your password, it might be a phishing attempt. Scammers are very sophisticated so protect yoursell.
