According to JD Vance, a person without children shouldn't be President.

George Washington was childless, so, according to the JD Vance criteria, he couldn't have been a good President!!
@ElwoodBlues So he’s started out with a foot squarely in his mouth, huh? 😩
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@bijouxbroussard He's such a tool. Every woman I've spoken to about him in person says he gives off a creepy, stalkerish, controlling vibe. Trump only selects the best people!
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard …didn’t look like a foot…
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
Interesting and I mostly agree. I’d have put Carter and Reagan lower, and (despite being a Democrat) I’d put W higher.
@Harmonium1923 Even after Iraq ?
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
@bijouxbroussard Yes. Maybe not a lot higher, LOL. I know others (including most of my friends) feel differently. But I thought he was an effective leader after 9/11, and miraculously helped keep the country out of an economic disaster at the time. Although I disagreed with the decision on Iraq, I thought he was unfairly accused of lying or inventing evidence. At the time both Democrats and Republicans believed Iraq had WMDs. They disagreed on the response, but not on the evidence—even though most of it proved later to be untrue or exaggerated.

It is also possible he just looks better in comparison to what the Republican party has become since 2016.
@Harmonium1923 That’s possible. Dubya was not turning Americans against each other, after all. Trump claimed that American Muslims were "cheering when the Towers fell" and provided absolutely no proof. And totally ignored the American Muslims who worked in those towers and lost their lives with everyone else.
I said during Trump’s administration that he had helped me appreciate George W. Even if he wasn’t the best president, he would not be our worst.

Some might place Jefferson Davis ahead of Trump.

@trollslayer
Some might place Jefferson Davis ahead of Trump
agree! President Davis singlehandedly sunk the Confederacy on pretty much every front. President Davis couldn't get support from Europe, caused famine in the southern states, wrecked the economy, wasted resources and infrastructure, etc...
@tenente But Davis was never POTUS.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard That was the point of my joke.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
We have to remember that this is the New York Times :)

I would move Eisenhower and Reagan near the top, push Truman down 7 or 8 notches,
Trump much higher ... Just him winning rather than HRC is worth 25+ places higher
Move Biden and Carter to tied with Buchanan at the bottom.
astrosandorbits · 26-30, M
I agree with a lot of this list. My personal favorite president is F.D.R and i do believe he deserves to be top 3 in rankings. However... i can't believe Biden is as high as he is... i definitely do not agree lol I think he should be much lower. I love seeing Obama ranked so highly. God i miss Obama.
Hmmm... I dont personally think Trump should be last lol I think Andrew Johnson was worse than Trump. George W. Bush should definitely be lower in my opinion.
Of course most of these I've only read about and I can safely say that F.D.R and Lincoln and Washington definitely rose to the occasions they were given.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
I'd quibble about some of the order in the top 15, but a pretty good list overall.

The bottom 4 are indisputable to any serious person.
Ontheroad · M
I might disagree with a couple of them, but they got #45 right. Actually, they were kind to him.
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
Biden dunking on Reagan
tenente · 100+, M
@GlitterEater lol 😂 President Raegan cutting social programs, increasing economic disparity and selling arms to Iran doesn't age well!
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
Obama is 7th? 😂

Biden is 14th?! 😂😂

And Trump is of course last.

Campaigning much for the Democrats, "Paper of Record"? 😂😂😂

Vin53 · M
@Thinkerbell Do you ever consider the consequences of denying facts for your entire life?
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Vin53

Denying facts has been the Democrats' and the MSM's stock in trade, Vinnie, especially regarding old Joe's cognitive decline over the past three years.

Until June 27, that is. 😂😂😂

Then, after July 21, the fact-denial train got back on track, this time for Kamala's benefit. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Vin53 · M
@Thinkerbell You understand there are literally millions of Americans who are still convinced that the 2020 election was stolen somehow.
Convivial · 26-30, F
Be interesting to know on what they have been ranked
Vin53 · M
@GlitterEater heheheh..
Convivial · 26-30, F
@GlitterEater obviously lol..
But their popularity, what they achieved ...?
Vin53 · M
@GlitterEater You. You I like!

Yeah, BumbleTrump got more Americans killed than anyone and he made America a laughing stock.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
Who did they leave out? Shouldn't there be 46?
Vin53 · M
@DunningKruger We're currently in 46.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@Vin53 Oh, wait. I see. Grover Cleveland is only counted once.
HannahSky · F
Based on what though

basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Mostly accurate, although I'd put Andrew Jackson lower.
@basilfawlty89 So would I.
tenente · 100+, M
President Nixon only 10th worst, i'm sure he'd feel pretty great about that

i get the bickering about President Obama, but how is President Eisenhower still in the top 10? President Eisenhower backed the overthrow of Iran government and let the CIA run amok - in peace time!

President Grants civil rights record keeps him rising to the top of the rankings 👍 easy bet President Grant surpasses President Raegan next year (President Raegan keeps sliding further down the list year over year)

@bijouxbroussard no argument and not denying there's a lot of suspects further down the roster lol i do think President Davis beats everyone for last place 🤷‍♂️
Vin53 · M
@tenente I see what you did there.
