Interesting and I mostly agree. I’d have put Carter and Reagan lower, and (despite being a Democrat) I’d put W higher.

especially considering the political and media landscape GWB had to deal with
@Harmonium1923 Even after Iraq ?

@bijouxbroussard Yes. Maybe not a lot higher, LOL. I know others (including most of my friends) feel differently. But I thought he was an effective leader after 9/11, and miraculously helped keep the country out of an economic disaster at the time. Although I disagreed with the decision on Iraq, I thought he was unfairly accused of lying or inventing evidence. At the time both Democrats and Republicans believed Iraq had WMDs. They disagreed on the response, but not on the evidence—even though most of it proved later to be untrue or exaggerated.

It is also possible he just looks better in comparison to what the Republican party has become since 2016.
@Harmonium1923 That’s possible. Dubya was not turning Americans against each other, after all. Trump claimed that American Muslims were "cheering when the Towers fell" and provided absolutely no proof. And totally ignored the American Muslims who worked in those towers and lost their lives with everyone else.
I said during Trump’s administration that he had helped me appreciate George W. Even if he wasn’t the best president, he would not be our worst.
