Where does Trump get his support?

Good analysis:
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2024/02/trump-republican-primary/677550/

Bottom LIne:
Trump’s path to the nomination is clear.

This outcome wasn’t inevitable; Trump was beatable. His opponents had real opportunities to cleave off his support, but they squandered them.

The reason is simple: Republican elites don’t understand their voters. They spent eight years making excuses for Trump and supporting him at every turn, sending the clear signal that this is his party. They spent nearly a decade saying that he was a persecuted martyr—and the greatest president in history. It’s frightening, but not surprising, that their voters think he’s the only man for the job.

Why Trump won in 2016, and why he's still very popular, and why the establishment will never understand.

@JollyRoger Thank you for best comment, however truth be told, there are no rules in the US Constitution that allows for bureaucracies to exist, nor for them to set policies or procedures to be taken as law. I do not care how much ass kissing they do it pisses off us tax paying voters, when an elected official asks a question, answer it, do not bloviate and refuse to answer.

@sree251 Sorry, I haven't been following him so I can't comment.

What's even more interesting is how this is a repeat of 2016. People like you live in a bubble and listen to the same ol' left wing periodicals with their ridiculous notions of Republican malfeasance getting us to this point.

The RINO's of the world were absolutely ready to move on from Trump, in fact they have moved on...the voters are not.

You subscribe to a lefty periodical that has gotten EVERYTHING about Trump wrong either purposefully or otherwise.

They will lie to you and lie to you and lie to you.

I can assure The Atlantic does not have any sort of realistic notion of Trump and the movement to elect him as President.

They are catering to YOU and hoping you don't cancel your subscription.

@JollyRoger You said: "Please be careful of your choices."

What choices? People don't have choices. I know you believe that we people in the west have choices and folks in China or Russia don't. We just live with the belief that we don't have good candidates who can deliver us from evil. So, we cast our votes dutifully repeatedly and wait for the Messiah.
JollyRoger · 70-79, M
@sree251 Well.... you wait for the Messiah.... I'm just warning that Hell on Earth is in the policies that aren't even put to paper yet.

Why are you always knocking down the best President that we've had in our life time?

You don't live in the United States, I don't like your P M either, he's a liberal and he's not for the poor working people. P Ms and Presidents who gives out welfare do it for votes. Don't you dare tell me that I don't love the poor because you of all people know that I do... Anything the government gives you with one hand they take it away with the other.... People needs to learn how to fish don't give them just enough for one meal.

I know that you are probably a tree hugger and that's good were supposed to take care of our planet. But green energy just isn't going to cut it.

No I don't like listening to Trump's mouth nor do I like to see him on Twitter all the time and I don't like his name calling but he did do a great job running our country.

I would love to be able to go in the TV room tonight and listen to the state of the Union speach but I would go nuts trying to listen to Biden speak. Not that I would listen to every word that Trump would say but at least I could enjoy listening to most of his speach and the rest of the time I could chat with you.... 😂 LOL

His name calling talent is pretty good. What is there not to like about Pencil Neck, Tricky Nicky, Crazy Nancy, Little Marco, Crooked Hillary. It's American culture. I grew up with Superman, Batman, Spiderman.

@sree251 So, you're good with America's leaders acting like third graders, is what I'm hearing.

I define the "Left" as anyone who doesn't want trump as president, Democrats, RINO's, and Republicans who want their party back. Every vote for Nikki Haley are those people.

We are not at the end of the process of electing a president. Trump would have us believe that he has already won and has been elected.

There are also people who believe that the rule of law will prevail and that he will be prosecuted for J6, found guilty by a jury and sent to prison. He knows that he is and so does every attorney in the country.
Some people have become frustrated and impatient waiting for that to happen. The video demonstrates that. However, Democracy will prevail.

@JollyRoger JFK was a progressive thinking moderate about somethings and a conservative in many other area's.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@nudistsueaz jfk would have been a modern day republican.the democrats have drifted so far left the American communist party endorses their candidates.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@Baremine Your right
jeancolby · 31-35, F
Trump has more support than you think. Most keep it to themselves.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@jeancolby True. Members of my circle of friends and family speak in hush tones about their politics and Trump support. They are afraid of liberals and progressive intimidation that can come even from relatives on the cancel culture side. It is as scary as the cultural revolution of China when family members turn on their own blood.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@jeancolby That's very true!
mainvane · 61-69, M
I wouldn't believe anything written in the Atlantic.

ppl are going to vote for they guy promising no nukes landing on their heads...
dubum · 51-55, M
Biden. Biden would have to support Trump, or he wont be saved from Trump's Guillotine
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
Almost none of the Republicans in DC supported him.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@nudistsueaz and why is that? That's the real question, I think.
Jockey Brand?

LordShadowfire · 46-50
It's true. And the worst part is, he's geared up for another victory. He's the absolute worst man for the job, and he's going to destroy this country, and millions of people are going to cheer him on as he does it.
