Where does Trump get his support?

Good analysis:
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2024/02/trump-republican-primary/677550/

Bottom LIne:
Trump’s path to the nomination is clear.

This outcome wasn’t inevitable; Trump was beatable. His opponents had real opportunities to cleave off his support, but they squandered them.

The reason is simple: Republican elites don’t understand their voters. They spent eight years making excuses for Trump and supporting him at every turn, sending the clear signal that this is his party. They spent nearly a decade saying that he was a persecuted martyr—and the greatest president in history. It’s frightening, but not surprising, that their voters think he’s the only man for the job.

I define the "Left" as anyone who doesn't want trump as president, Democrats, RINO's, and Republicans who want their party back. Every vote for Nikki Haley are those people.

We are not at the end of the process of electing a president. Trump would have us believe that he has already won and has been elected.

There are also people who believe that the rule of law will prevail and that he will be prosecuted for J6, found guilty by a jury and sent to prison. He knows that he is and so does every attorney in the country.
Some people have become frustrated and impatient waiting for that to happen. The video demonstrates that. However, Democracy will prevail.

"Let every Nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty." JFK

@softspokenman I commend you on your loyalty to your country. On the other hand, the Trump(eters) taken in by the greed he promotes: cut aide to other countries; stop the tide of immigrants; let Russia have Ukraine - they had it before!; same with NATO - let them fend for themselves they are 'over there' and no threat to us. SELF-SERVING, ISOLATIONIST, M.A.G.A. propaganda that has little grounds in how the rest of the world thinks and acts. (except China, Russia, N. Korea, Syria and Iran - and now Israel). M.A.G.A. is 'thinking small'.
@JollyRoger Thank you. He only thinks of himself. "I am your law and order president." That broke the laws, divided the country and caused chaos. "United we stand", divided we will certainly fail.

@softspokenman JFK would be a Republican in today's environment.

@JollyRoger So the USA should borrow money, so they can give it away????
JollyRoger · 70-79, M
@nudistsueaz I have no answer for you on that. The're are many 'ties' that governments have to each other that the citizens don't know about. What I'm saying is: Even if Trump were president, he might have to support a certain country or regime due to background events and promises that are not known to the public. And... that doesn't necessarily have any connection to whether the previous situations were under a Republican or a Democrat White House.

@nudistsueaz OK.... I can't argue, but I can't picture how JFK's policies would be 'Rebublican' in today's environment. Do you care to explain that?
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@JollyRoger JFK was a progressive thinking moderate about somethings and a conservative in many other area's.
