I think it’ll end with certain individuals making gazillions financially, pretending that it’s some sort of moral victory, claiming that the lives lost were honourable and then we’ll inevitably head into another conflict in the future. History has a way of repeating itself again and again.
Oh, and in a couple of years’ time, various criminal charges will be brought against the current American administration and their cronies.
The Russian leadership meanwhile, will go much the same way as dictators of the past when their people have enough courage to rally against them once they realise how their self made conflict is directly affecting them despite their leadership doing everything in their power to say otherwise.

Never going to end. Not even if Trump is removed from office. The damage is done, and it's permanent.

When someone who has some sense decides we've squandered enough money and resources and leave. Just like Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

I doubt if the participants are going to learn to value human life so the insane killing, fuelled in part by religion, goes on.

Wars are never 'declared' any more, so they never really 'start', and never really 'end'.
