Iran: We can confront US ground troops.

Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has said that he is “confident Iran can confront US ground troops.” Araghchi says Iran isn't asking for ceasefire and that they are waiting for America's ground invasion.

Is America ready? Iran won't take second or third base. They want to see if America can go all the way.

Yeah, you remember Baghdad Bob from Iraq? The minister of information that laughably claimed Iraq was winning that war and the Americans were losing.

The Iraqi Minister of Information during the Gulf War was Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, also known as "Baghdad Bob" or "Comical Ali." He became famous for his exaggerated and often false statements about the war, claiming that Iraq was winning despite the reality of the situation.

Role During the Iraq War

Al-Sahhaf gained international fame for his press briefings, where he made bold claims about the Iraqi military's successes against U.S. forces. He was nicknamed "Baghdad Bob" in the U.S. and "Comical Ali" in the U.K. due to his exaggerated and often false assertions. For example, he famously declared, "There are no American troops in Baghdad," even as coalition forces were entering the city.
Notable Quotes

Al-Sahhaf's rhetoric included harsh insults directed at U.S. and British leaders, referring to them as "an international gang of criminal bastards" and "blood-sucking bastards." His statements often contradicted the reality on the ground, leading to a cult following and becoming a source of humor and memes during the war.
Final Days in Office

His last public appearance was on April 8, 2003, where he insisted that American forces would surrender. The following day, Baghdad fell to coalition troops, marking the end of his role as a prominent spokesperson for Saddam Hussein's regime.

The sad thing is that trump is not operating off of logic but has a personal vendetta after threatened assassinations. Bush 43 did the same thing with Iraq when they tried to assassinate his father Bush 41.
It gets real personal as you see the leadership killed in Iran.
lailaayelet · 26-30, F
@Pfuzylogic We need a fatwa that works.
Pfuzylogic · M
@lailaayelet trump is recruiting Kurds to invade Iran and start the uprising against the regime. . Isn’t it ironic that the murder of a Kurdish woman not wearing her clothes in the ordered manner started all of this from the youth. Survival might take priority over a fatwa at this time.

A ground invasion of Iran would teach Americans a degree of pain and suffering that weve had the privilege of forgetting since Vietnam.

@BlueVeins

Why don't you go join them? You're obviously on the murderous, terrorist's side.

Help inflict the pain you're so sure about
BlueVeins · 26-30
@Thrust Dawg, we just bombed their fucking capital out of nowhere. The US is the terrorists in this scenario.

Seeking vengeance is a no-win game. The only way to win is not to play. It's a worldwide lesson everyone, including you, would be well to learn... sooner rather than later.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
Yeah that's what Sadam Hussein said about the Republican Guard.
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@lailaayelet Sorry, what? We didn't win in Iraq? Tell that to the corpses of Saddam Hussein and his 2 sons, Uday and Qusay.
Waveney · M
@lailaayelet it’s taken Iraq nearly twenty years to finally start getting back on its feet
lailaayelet · 26-30, F
@Waveney Yet you can't visit. Maybe some to the cities but you can't go elsewhere. Iraq has beautiful mountains. Beautiful desert.
gregloa · 61-69, M
There won’t be a my ground invasion. After they are ready to give up there might be an occupation to see the new government off.
gregloa · 61-69, M
@lailaayelet Iran is smoking!
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@lailaayelet You know what I noticed?

We haven't had any problems from Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt, Pakistan and now Syria since we overthrew the governments that were causing us problems.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster I'm glad the USA had no problens from Iraq and Afghanistan after murdering their leaders. So what about the rest of the world that was left to clean up the mess? I wonder what my father was doing on three subsequent tours of the Gulf region between 2003 and 2011 . . must have been sightseeing 🤔

What Iran has going for it is the fact that the US military has a long history of sucking at jungle warfare and mountain warfare. Vietnam and Afghanistan come to mind, two of the most notable wars the US started and then lost hands down.
