It’s curious to think the 2024 US election could start world war 3.

Putin will go for the Baltic states knowing Trump being a charlatan will not honor the North Atlantic Treaty, thus pushing most of Europe into a war with Russia.

Iran will go to war with Israel and possibly the much depleted Iraq.

China will invade Taiwan while supporting North Korea’s invasion of the South.

Columbia will invade Guyana.

Serbia will invade Kosovo.

Initially the US will adopt a policy of isolation until the global conflict causes fuel prices to soar than maybe get involved in either the Middle East or in the Pacific to curb China.

It’s just a hunch. Not a happy one.

If, as you say, “ Trump being a charlatan will not honor the North Atlantic Treaty, thus pushing most of Europe into a war with Russia.” that means Trump would not support the other members of NATO militarily. Without the US military backing them up, that would add caution to those member thus reducing the risk of conflict with Russia.

It's quite telling that the Canadian administration just held an offsite conference to prepare for the possibility of a second Trump Administration. And THEY readily admit that they were able to forge a decent economic partnership with him in his first administration because he was totally absorbed with the southern border, Europe, and Asia. They obviously fear the same won't necessarily be true if there is a sequel.

I just hope that whichever senior and senile candidate wins will be able to stand up for more than 20 minutes a day while we all wait for companies to keep telling us, "Well, the supply chain is fixed, but since you're willing to keep paying high prices, we're gonna charge even more"

@thenormalkindofcrazy You actually accidentally uncoveringthe rosetta stone of current corporate economic planning. Covid showed business that the scarcity model lealded more profit than oversupply and "Just in time" delivery, by eliminating discounting. So since Covid, corporate profits are skyrocketing on lower production and turnover. This is easily seen in air travel, Schedules cut and flights cancelled to make sure cheap seats are virtually extinct..But its contributing to inflation everywhere..Unless geo-political efforts like oil supplies intervene..😷

If so - then why didn’t any of this already happen in his first term 🤔

@Keeper The world was a different place 4 years ago. The previous last two world wars, particularly the first one show these things are all about timing.

I just see it through the lens of there wasn't much conflict during his first term but immediately afterwards - different story. And I don't have a horse in the race, both have flaws.
