We went in 1995 we got a book to, but lost it over time
Musicman · 61-69, M
@HumanEarth @NeddyKelly So what was it actually like? Did you enjoy going?
NeddyKelly · M
@Musicman Once in a lifetime and the history - and a nice ride on the ferry
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
Hampton court palace and Hever Castle have been two of my favorite places. I love Tudor history.
Nanoose · 70-79, M
@OlderSometimesWiser I know it's not a contest but I have seen a giant tomato in Leminton Ontario. I think it was a beef steak tomato so that would probably be way bigger than a giant apple. Cheers and happy weekend!
@Nanoose Gonna have to scope that out as part of my Giant Fruit and Veggie Quest across North America. 👍
Nanoose · 70-79, M
@OlderSometimesWiser Yeah they give out free tomato juice so it is well worth the visit. If you ever get tired of giant fruits and vegetables there is a giant nickel in Sudbury Ontario. And that giant nickel blew Joey Ramones mind when he saw how big it was (he was in Sudbury filming a movie). Cheers and happy weekend!

I've been to the Gettysburg battlefield, where the tide of the American Civil War turned.
I want to go to Shanksville, PA, where the heroes of Flight 93 gave their lives on 9-11 to prevent the fourth plane taken over by terrorists from crashing into the Capitol or the White House.

The Colosseum in Rome. Also the Roman Forum, Pantheon,
Santa Maria Maggiore, Basilica of St Peter, Vatican museum, and other places in Rome too numerous to mention.
Churchill War Rooms in London. Also Tower Bridge, Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Abbey Road, Covent Garden, Kensington Palace, Greenwich Observatory, and other places in London too numerous to mention.
Athens is on our list, but I don't know if it's next.
