The mistake was her office sent it to white city councilors and it was only supposed to go to non white councilors, when they realized i t went to White City councilors they uninvited them, and then it hit the news. This is Boston though nothing will happen to her, if you say anything they'll call the person complaining a racist.
@Nitedoc Well it was a mistake, the mistake was the public was not to know about the "electeds of color holiday party" but one of the white council members or their staff made sure the public found out, they do it on the down low because they know it looks terrible. Even some of her Allies are dragging her for this stupid party . What's really amazing is every Boston City councilor are liberals in good standing, and that isn't enough, they still needed to segregate

She tried to pull a fast one. Got caught. It was her responsibility as the mayor to assure accuracy and no such remarks about “ color” of people, as in this instances an alleged error in an e- mail for a function she was hosting.

@jackjjackson I hate to "America Bash" as we seem to be getting along so we right now..But there does seem to be a culture in the US of ignoring or excusing the evil that some people in power do. Be is politicians, corporate leaders or even supreme court justices, that would cause them to be removed immediately in other places..😷
Seriously? Do a tiny bit of research. All of this stems from a party that has been held for years and somebody hit "Send all" instead of sending out invitations to the specific people who were invited.
And now we have a made up controversy when they cleared up the confusion.
And now the dominant majority for hundreds of years wants to play the victim because they feel entitled to an invite to everything.
If the Boston Mayor was a Republican, then it would be 100% illegal, since discrimination is against the law at a Governmental Level.
But since the Boston Mayor is most likely a Democrat, it's 100% legal, since Democrats can legally pick and choose what laws they want to follow or not.
The reality is racism/ discrimination comes in all colors and ethnicities…even though there are those who only see WHITES guilty. But perhaps the whites in Boston will pull their heads out of their asses and vote her ass out of office

My personal opinion is that the mayor probably isn't a bad person but I'd be highly uncomfortable with a woman who throws no whites allowed parties. It's not that I'm even judging her, I just wouldn't want it personally just because it would be a little weird for me.
That's kind of like a black person working for a mayor who hosted only all white parties I think. It's just an awkward situation all around.

And some butthurt conservative decided to make this into a controversy over hurt feelings over not being in the cool kids club.
She's not, federal discrimination laws have criminalized such things. However, I seriously doubt BinBiden's Boston Area federal US Prosecutor will enforce it.
