I am sure you will find that taxpayers of all ethnic origins and creeds are allowed to pay their share.😷

So that is obviously true and I omitted that part for humor of course. How about the real issue? @whowasthatmaskedman

@jackjjackson I havent read the story, so I cant assume any more than you offer. But is doesnt pass the smell test here. I can see it being for the poor, or the homeless. But you make it sound like a can of spray tan gets me a free lunch..😷

Of course you wouldn’t take my word for it lol

[quote] Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is not dreaming of a white Christmas — party, that is.

An invite concerning the Boston mayor’s holiday party, specifically for “Electeds of Color,” was mistakenly sent by an aide to all members of the Boston City Council.

Some 15 minutes later, that aide, Denise DosSantos, who serves as the mayor’s director of City Council relations, blasted up a follow-up email flagging the embarrassing error.

“I wanted to apologize for my previous email regarding a Holiday Party for tomorrow,” DosSantos wrote.

The white councilors were not supposed to receive an invite.

“I did send that to everyone by accident, and I apologize if my email may have offended or came across as so,” the aide added. “Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.”

Boston’s City Council is comprised of six minority and seven white members.

The revelation of the secret “no whites” holiday party drew some backlash and sent social media aflutter.

City Councilor Frank Baker, a white Democrat bashed the move as “unfortunate and divisive,” but stressed it didn’t affect him personally.

“I don’t really get offended too easily,” Baker told the Boston Herald. “To offend me, you’re going to have to do much more than not invite me to a party.”

Now I’ll sit back and wait to read your explanation for why that is all OK.

@jackjjackson Thats simple. Its not OK. And I cant begin to describe how ignorant it is and how poorly served this idiot Mayor is by her advisers, whose job it should be to keep her out of obvious missteps like that. Its racist obviously. And it demeans the very people it invited, implying they deserve something to compensate for being people "of colour" Will that do?😷

The invitation memo was inadvertently sent to everyone.

Anyone can make a mistake, right, Kemo Sabe?

In the US, there seems to be no lower limit whatsoever. 🙄

Or even for prestigious American university presidents.

The one that plagiarized her doctoral thesis among other things or some other one? Can you believe Harvard is supporting THAT. Fortunately Penn, my and the the Alma Materfor two of my kids did the smart thing. @Thinkerbell

@jackjjackson I once worked under a University Vice Chancellor (President) who was established to have committed plagiarism (a pattern was established) and it was suddenly bought to light while he was on a flight to Britain fore some conference of University heads. As the plane landed he received a phone call, was ordered to catch a flight immediately back and was dimissed upon his arrival home. No explanation or excuses...😷

@whowasthatmaskedman The point is white taxpayers money funded a racist party when whites were discriminated against.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Yet Harvard is supporting that woman who has committed multiple societal wrongs. @whowasthatmaskedman

@jackjjackson I hate to "America Bash" as we seem to be getting along so we right now..But there does seem to be a culture in the US of ignoring or excusing the evil that some people in power do. Be is politicians, corporate leaders or even supreme court justices, that would cause them to be removed immediately in other places..😷

I can believe almost anything about Harvard these days. 🙄

All and any government funding for them should cease forever. @Thinkerbell
