Actually I see technology as something genuinely human, be it a stone age tool from 100,000 years ago, or a MOS-FET transistor circuit.

I live in the forest, in a holler between two mountains...with a large spring fed creek..that has trout.
I've dreamed of this kind of living..all my life. Grateful every single day!
"Yeah this is the life"

@ShadowWorker You're a very lucky lady <3
I dream to live like that someday 🥺
Matt85 · 36-40, M
One time I did. I sat on this huge hill and read a book among the trees.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
Absolutely. Being in the woods is therapy for me.

I go to the park, lie on the grass and look up at the clouds passing by. Tension just melts away.
Regularly,as much as possible.

MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
Yes. My kinda life!
Repete · 61-69, M
Yes in the forest or on the beach ( here beaches are not overcrowded usually, rocky coast of Maine.) I only have a dumb phone anyway, an old flip phone that I leave at home or turn off most of the time. It’s fantastic actually listening to nature.

Pretty much every day. It's a healthy addiction. For me, the wilderness is power and perfection. Humility and respect is the takeaway.

Every devotee of black metal has done this at least once, preferably during winter

I don't know how you define "technology" - one of the loosest and over-used words going - but I have enjoyed many holidays in my own country and abroad in which I have been nowhere near anything more than my portable telephone, a basic model and which was switched off for almost all of the time.

I don't know what is like the life you mean, but I certainly enjoyed those times.

I often go to the forests for walks and treks. As a woman walking alone in a forest, it is often a little more delicate to simply switch off your only lifeline in case something goes wrong.

I do not switch off my mobile but I rely more on my pepper spray for security.
exexec · 61-69, C
Yes. I do that quite often.
BigImo · 22-25, F
I once lived in a treehouse with my then-girlfriend without any modern technology for two months. It was heaven
scooogy · 31-35, MVIP
@BigImo I think it didn't need a tree-house for her heaven with you.
BigImo · 22-25, F
@scooogy true I am amazing
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
Of course. The homeless where I come from thank the Lord for the ability.
Musicman · 61-69, M
That would be a no. Now I have sat in a forest quietly before technology.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
It’s been too long since I have and would love too again. It’s a goal.
Lilliesandlight · 41-45, F
No but man that sounds nice
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Yes. I love camping.
