Not so much any specific genre, but I don't like high pitched screetchy or endlessly repetitive same beat. So I like jazz until they start practicing the scales, country until they start crying or howling, and even hard metal and hip hop until the needle gets stuck. Oh, oh. Just eliminated 3 or 4 generations who don't know what a phonograph needle is.

I don’t care for country as a rule with few exceptions. I think the only time I’d truly enjoy reggae was if I was lounging on a beach in Jamaica. And aside from the sentimental value of driving with my high school boyfriend with his soundtrack of Eazy E and 2 Live Crew, there’s nothing even remotely rappish that won’t compel me to change the station.
