I'm a big film geek, big on Star Wars and Sci Fi in general, and my fav movie ever is 'Empire...', so that comes out often.
Comedy? I love watching the remake of 'Fun With Dick And Jane', with Jim Carey, always makes me laugh.
...and, if we're talking annually, then..'The Muppets Christmas Carol' and 'Cool Runnings' are two that we always have on.

@4thdimensiondream I like a bit of both...in terms of Sci Fi? Love 'LOTR', the extended versions, the recent 'Planet Of The Apes' trilogy (exclude the 4th movie that was pants!), 'Pitch Black'/'The Chronicles Of Riddick', 'The Terminator', 'Lucy' amongst many more. 'Sunshine'...and...erhhh...lots of marvel things...
I do love a lot of J-Horror movies too. The original 'Ring' series is fantastic!
What about you?

@SammyJo I could go on awhile! I’ll just list a few faves
The day the earth stood still
The thing (both old and Kurt Russell)
Alien
Aliens
Jurassic Park original only
Arrival - although I didn’t understand a thing lol
Andromeda Strain
Almost all movies with Ray Harryhausen special effects
Poltergeist
The Birds
Exorcist
That’s enough I think but hundreds more :)

None. I'm not a fan of rewatching movies unless it's been a long time ago since I've seen it the last time. I can tolerate some Agatha Christie's books' adaptations but then it's rather running in the background than that I'd actively watch it and pay attention.
I like rewatching my favorite scenes from movies though.

None, I don't see the point of watching a film on repeat. To me it's like being told the same joke again and again or re reading a newspaper.
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
@4thdimensiondream I've done that with one book, one which was read to us at school in primary school English. I found it in a second hand bookshop and read it while camping, good nostalgia.
IM5688 · 70-79, M
@RodneyTrotter1 I disagree. If you really get into the movie plot or story line, each time you see it you see something you didn't pick up on the first time.
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
@IM5688 On the other hand, if you're really into it you shouldn't be missing anything.
r4ndomusernm3 · 46-50, M
For decades we watched "A Christmas Story" every year around holidays (or "the kid with the BB gun", as we called it).. and "The Goonies" at least once throughout the year... such good memories :)
@r4ndomusernm3 Goonies never say die!
exexec · 70-79, C
I don't watch any movies annually, but I do watch the "Band of Brothers" series every Memorial Day weekend. It helps me remember.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@exexec thanks for your service.
exexec · 70-79, C
@4thdimensiondream I didn't serve. I need to remember those who died in their service.
Clerks 2, Empire Records, TRHPS, The First Wives Club, Goodfellas, Fiddler on the Roof, All Lord of the Rings and Hobbit Movies in Order, Immortal Ad Vitam, The Help, etc tons of stuff.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@DancingStarGoddess great choices and very varied I love it! Were you into the Midnight showings of Rocky Horror?
@4thdimensiondream Yes! it's actually my favorite and i'm pretty fanatic about it. lol
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@DancingStarGoddess I missed the boat on it. I know I was outside the theater once waiting for show to start. I might have been too high and got paranoid and left. lol. They still do it where you live that’s great.
FrugalNoodle · 46-50, M
I'd love to be able to answer appropriately, but the damning truth is that I only watch whatever I feel like watching and never in a traditional manner.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@FrugalNoodle fair enough. I didn’t necessarily mean in a traditional sense. I just get a feeling of “hey I haven’t seen this one in awhile” and I like watching my faves again.
FrugalNoodle · 46-50, M
@4thdimensiondream I watched a fave yesterday Fellini's Roma, but rarely for a long time do I do re-watches.

4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@rinkydinkydoink I saw Sleuth on Broadway many moons ago with Patrick Macnee of Avengers fame. The shock from the big surprise was incredible live.
