@sunsporter1649 not a fan really. The tribbles were fun but not very good as a story. Well maybe in the end when scotty gave then to the klingons.

IM5688 · 70-79, M
I would have to agree that City on the Edge of Forever is my favorite and best episode, but there are other favorites also. Piece of the Action was also very good, and of course no one will ever forget Trouble with Tribbles.

As for the movies, I liked The Wrath of Kahn the best and The Voyage Home second best.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Jacko1971 I prob should know after seeing the Costner and Russell movie adaptions but I’m still not sure. I believe it’s a debatable issue.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@4thdimensiondream wasn't the planet killer one similar to film 4, where an alien was trying to reconnect with its lost soul mate. The first episode of TNG was like that too.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Jacko1971 you know I had forgotten that storyline in 4! They were similar in form but not sure about size.

My favorite Star Trek TOS is "Mudd's Women".

"Mudd's Women," three women take a drug called the Venus Pill, which temporarily enhances their beauty. The story explores themes of self-worth and deception, ultimately revealing that true beauty comes from within when one of the women regains her confidence without the pill."

My second favorite is "The Trouble with Tribbles"

"The Trouble with Tribbles" is a famous episode from the original Star Trek series, where the crew of the USS Enterprise encounters small, furry creatures called tribbles that reproduce rapidly and cause chaos on a space station.

My favorite movie is ‘Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan’

However, I love every episode of Star Trek TOS and all of the movies based on the original series. 🙂

@4thdimensiondream Mudd was forced to live with a city full of clones of his nagging wife.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Jacko1971 “the pain” (stealing that line from The Horda episode)
AdaXI · T
The scary one with the Gorn, Kirk chucked a boulder at them and it had no effect!👀 LOLZ
Yeah I can't actually pick I like a few Arena, Balance of Terror, Mirror Mirror, Space Seed, Tomorrow Is Yesterday, Trouble With Tribbles they'll be others I forgot off the top of my head..

A lot of the ones I like are simply because they tie into the later series' and films. Like DS9 and Enterprise had a number of stories set in the mirror universe, Space Seed sets up The Wrath of Khan movie and it's all the stuff I grew up with so I like the connections.

The movies I like II, IV, and VI best, probably in that order.

@AdaXI the boulder didn't effect him because it was made out of polystyrene.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Jacko1971 that’s awesome!
AdaXI · T
@Jacko1971 Yeah the boulder hits the ground without even making a dent LOLZ😆

Y'know, this'll sound weird, but I do have a soft spot for '..The Motion Picture', I like the build up. Favourite? That would be 'Wrath..', I think. That's full-on 'Star Trek' to my eyes and ears. '..First Contact' too.

Sarah 💋
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@SarahTheHooker I get that but it really came off a little full of itself. The scene where Kirk says take her out of here and it took like 15 min lol. It also seemed like a rip off of like Nomad and I think another original episode.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
Of the films 2, 4 & 6 are the most like the original series. They have some humour and some good action sequences. I didn't care much for 5 although, ironically, it does contain my favourite 2 Star Trek quotes. 5 was directed by William Shatner which is why it probably more theatrical than the others.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Jacko1971 I didn’t love that one but I did like the end when Kirk was like I have a question for God!
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@4thdimensiondream exactly. "Why does God need a spaceship?"
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Jacko1971 that’s it! Thought that was very cool. He was like excuse me but I have a question. lol.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
The Enterprise Incident and Undiscovered Country (6).

I didn't like save the whales much but it had humor.

Everyone likes city on the edge of forever but it is lower on my list.

The devil in the dark, the doomsday machine, all good solid episodes. The man trap was pretty good.

I hate spocks brain, turnabout intruder, and a few others.

TOS Series: "Day of the Dove" - An alien entity pits the Enterprise against the Klingons for its own selfish purposes.

As far as the movies go, I agree that "The Voyage Home" is the best and most fun of the TOS movies.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@SumKindaMunster Any with good acting. John Calicos was a great actor, errand of mercy. So was Mark Lenard as a romulan in balance of terror.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@SumKindaMunster joanne linville was fantastic.
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
Hmmmm favorite episode is a tough one. I really like Shore Leave though.

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country is my favorite film. :)
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@thepeculiarpanda I love Shore leave. Such a great episode. Finnegan! lol. Sulu had fun too in that one.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
Of the original series, yes, City on the Edge of Forever is probably the best, with Balance of Terror a close second.

Of the OS movies, I really liked Undiscovered Country quite a bit.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@DunningKruger "Cry Havoc and unsllip the dogs of war"
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@Jacko1971 You have not experienced Shakespeare until you have read him in the original Klingon.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
Of all the antagonists, i loved Christopher Plumber in 6. He was very animated and I loved his random Shakespeare idioms.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
That’s the one where the alien is flying around unnoticed spinning around. Fun episode when at the end the Klingons and humans act all friendly and the alien loses all its mojo!
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@4thdimensiondream That's the one! I like the Klingons in TOS, they were worthy adversaries for Kirk and the Enterprise.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster I’m
Amazed at how much I still love watching the show. I never fully got into any of the others including next generation.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@SumKindaMunster there was an early episode that was pretty much the same plot as the film Enemy Below in which the Enterprise and the Klingon ship have to out guess each other.
JoeMW · 56-60, M
Balance of Terror, Amok Time, and The Tholian Web are personal favorites
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@JoeMW love Amok time. That was an episode that could have used a bigger budget!
JoeMW · 56-60, M
@4thdimensiondream the remastered version adds a few scenes on Vulcan
Ship In A Bottle - TNG

Portrayed by Daniel Davis, Moriarty escapes a simulation and takes over the vessel.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@SethGreene531 sure. Some people I would have loved to meet were rugg and westmore. Would love to hear where they got their ideas.
@MasterLee Darn, the genius behind the scenes. Special effect and costume/protesis designers are captivating.

Adam Savage, Carry, and the late Grant from Mythbusters did much the same for Lucasfilm's Star Wars. Jaime as well, but unsure what productions he worked.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@SethGreene531 yes they did a few
The trouble with tribbles
